I find myself for the last few years more invested in the individuals more than the presentation of them. Like yesterday was one of those moments where it's like "Claudio Castagnoli and Kevin Steen are facing off in the WWE and for this moment it looks like they're absolute stars" and moments like that are great to watch, but my guard is constantly up. The angle is great so far, but I'm always waiting for that release where WWE just loses interest, or just hang on to the feud for so long you couldn't possibly care anymore.
I like to follow wrestling and even when things are bad there's usually an interesting story underneath. The Roman Reigns superpush (especially the local men/beanstalk phase) but the underlying story of Vince McMahon so transparently showing his hand and cultivating an audience that pays for a ticket just to shit on his doorstep is pretty fascinating too.
I watch less WWE than I ever have with Smackdown being a complete waste of time and RAW only being slightly more interesting but I can't see myself stopping following it in some respect.

You have to just watch what you like these days and that's it. The show is too long to care about the whole thing. There are times I will skip almost the whole show on my PVR cause the few wrestlers I watch for aren't on, aren't doing anything interesting or I'm just not feeling it. That's the way the industry is these days. You pick the couple things you like to watch and skip the rest.

That's what I'm considering doing of just DVRing it, & than just watching the stuff that seems at least somewhat interesting.
