Reports have been that they've had some really good house show matches this past week. I know it might inspire some backlash as Jericho has lost a lot of his IWC "street cred" from a few deals in the past year, but he's still a solid to great performer, and I think him and Owens would be a great fit for each other both in promos and in ring. Jericho is a good program for any lower main event level guy who is currently got nothing else going on. Used sparingly and with the right guy, he can still deliver.
The last major Jericho program I can recall on screen was his deal with Wyatt which I thought was kind of a flop as their characters had no real chemistry together and the matches were just alright. Owens IMO, as said above, would make a much better "dance partner" for Jericho at this point as you can just keep the storyline extra simple---Owens, (once his deal with Cesaro is over) interrupts a Jericho segment, gives him a Pop Up Powerbomb, and later on cuts a promo talking about how sick he is of part timers coming around and hogging the spotlight (also sets up a future angle with Lesnar if WWE is inclined to do so, which sadly they are probably not...) and there you go.

It'd probably be fine.

I went to a house show last Saturday and got to witness it first hand and I do think they could have a good feud. They both worked the mic and played well off each other though it was more centered on comedy. They did have a damn good cage match though so they'd definitely have the chemistry.

I cannot express the amount of NOPE I have in not only seeing them feud but in seeing Jericho on TV ever again. Let him go play rockstar and the TV stuff to people who can still go.

The matches would be good, so I'd be fine with it.
That said, Chris has achieved Foley levels of beating him not meaning what it once did.

I have no interest in seeing Jericho on WWE tv anytime soon.
I'm looking forward to Owens/Cesaro.

Not really.
Jericho loses so much anymore that feuding with him is a step down for anybody higher on the card than Stardust.

Not really. Jericho loses so much anymore that feuding with him is a step down for anybody higher on the card than Stardust. I think the solution to this would be to bring Jericho back to feud with people Stardust-level and lower.

I mean, I don't exactly remember all he's done since being part-time, but can anyone remind me if there's been a feud that didn't feel like it was just there to get Jericho on the card and actually ended up benefiting someone or being entertaining?
That sounds super snarky and sarcastic, but I don't really mean it to be. I was a big Jericho guy, but he's definitely not giving guys "the rub" by working with them now.
What was the last decent feud? Punk?
Last elevating feud? Fandango? (if you can count it as elevating)
EDIT: Not that I'm one of those guys whose all about the structuring of the show and people needing to be elevated and all that, I'm really more of an "if it's entertaining, I'll like it" sort. I just don't really find Jericho returns all that entertaining at this point either.

yeah, at least Jericho would put him over. even if it didn't do much good, it's a great notch on the belt for a heel like Owens to brag about.

No, Jericho used up all his goodwill with me with that last idiotic character he played.
Oh he was trolling the fans by not....speaking....right?
It made me change the channel, so job done....I guess.

I agree with the consensus... Should be a good match/rivalry with good banter. Beating Jericho means nothing though...and losing to him would be a step down (not counting Neville's loss in Japan which is pretty much non-canon). I'd be cool with a one-off match with Owens going over but WWE loves their rematches/win trading. I cannot express the amount of NOPE I have in not only seeing them feud but in seeing Jericho on TV ever again. Let him go play rockstar and the TV stuff to people who can still go. Cause that Neville match was terrible?
