"What's the Mortician doing in the Impact Zone!?" Measurements mostly. He's just planning ahead.

I'm all for Taker winning. The fans love Taker and there's no way he's hanging it up at f****** Summerslam.
Besides, losing to Taker won't hurt Brock any.

Besides, losing to Taker won't hurt Brock any. It is a matter of perception. Name power wiese, no one losing to Taker is a problem. Visually, in 2015, Bray and Brock will have lost to a 50 year old man who can't even stand up straight and struggled to the point of nearly dropping Brock when trying a tombstone. It will look so stupid. I cannot suspend my disbelief that much. If Taker could move better or.... like, at all, then it would be more tolerable. I suspect this match will highlight how much magic Bray performed at Mania to make that match worth seeing. That on top of doing 100% of the promotion certainly made all that hard work worth the.... loss. *sigh*

Brock does need to brutalize him in round 2.
I mean, just make it so bad that children cry and husbands and wives clutch each other in abject fear. Let the pain radiate from the ring.
He takes him to Suplex City, breaks his arm with the Kimura after reversing a Chokeslam, and then gives him like 10 F-5s in a row.
And then after the dust clears, Brock doesn't even pin him. He just leaves Taker in the ring in his own blood and urine to think about what he's brought on himself.
Then when he's walking up the ramp, he grabs a mic, scans the crowd with an icy glare, and says...
"Make sure you all eat at Jimmy John's. They've got some great sandwiches."

You can never post again. Wait, what's that? I'm not a mod? Well, hell. If I could ban you, then I'd ban you.

I'm not a fan of retirement clauses because only HBK has stuck to it. Foley did for years before returning to TNA Bro, Foley is my favourite wrestler of all time, but he was appalling at sticking to his retirement clause. He came back three weeks later.

And it was four weeks I think Foley's actually one of the worst for it. Don't get me wrong, his match quality as an old fart was immensely high compared to most 'I swear I'm retired' guys, but he came back in 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012...

Totally agree. My friend starting hating him because "He keeps coming back!".

Eh. Maybe at the end of his run. But I never saw his TNA run and I wasn't too bothered by his appearances in WWE from 2003 to whenever he showed back up.

Isn't Mania in Texas this time around? Maybe they wanna get him in the Hall of Fame there. Then again, this is all speculation. They could always do a Flair like deal. As in he goes into the hall of fame and has his last match at Mania. Taker won't Flair it.

Foley did for years before returning to TNA I don't like them because, let's say Taker loser but in a year decides he's healthy enough for a one-off match. You know WWE is going to trot him out there anytime they get a chance too, so now they've nullified a major stipulation. Foley lasted four years. 00 he was wrestling in 04 at WM feuding with Orton. This was way before TNA.

It came after his retirement match Yeah as I said 00 and four years later he was wrestling but he didn't after WM in the year 00 until WM 20 in 04. Even if they hyped WM 2000 as his last chance for this WM moment.

I echo your sentiment, as Foley is also my all-time favorite wrestler, but there is a caveat to this argument. Vince threw a MOUNTAIN of money at Mick to work Mania that year. How much money you ask? To quote Foley "Enough that I would never have to worry about sending my children to college again". I was initially upset at Mick for coming back, until I heard that statement, and all was immediately forgiven. Foley went from being a nobody, sleeping in his car, to having Vince McMahon personally pleading with him to main event WrestleMania, and have a massive chunk of change dropped in his pocket, too. I get that he had to say yes, and I'm glad he was rewarded handsomely for doing it, I just wish said match would have turned out better. To be quite honest, his barbwire match with Abyss, in TNA, was fun, and a more fitting end to his career.

And I have always been an advocate of family meaning more than credibility.
