He had a pretty good match against Bray at Battleground, no crowd's have booed him in a while, he's teaming with Ambrose again, and he hasn't said anything about beanstalks or succotash in the past five months. Are you ready to let Roman Reigns back into your heart?

I have liked Roman for quite some time now, to be honest.

I like him. Proved himself at Mania.

I really don't think his problem was being pushed too soon, but rather being victim to the horridly booked Rumble match.

It has for now, but I just can't shake off the ominous feeling that as soon as he gets half of a sniff of the WWE Championship or the WrestleMania main event, it'll start up all over again.
Once you get the stink of being the "golden child" on you, it's very hard to wash off unless you get actively pushed all the way down the card.

Yeah, that Royal Rumble would've killed anyone's chance of being accepted by the fans. Once you get the stink of being the "golden child" on you, it's very hard to wash off unless you get actively pushed all the way down the card. As weird as this might seem, I don't think people really had that big a problem with Roman being champion so much as the situation with Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar almost being face at that time, and people's unhappiness with booking in general was what killed it. I doubt we'd see a big resistance to Roman winning down the line.

I doubt we'd see a big resistance to Roman winning down the line. There was resistance to him (looking like he was going to be) winning MitB, though. There are always going to be people who see Roman as the Establishment's Favorite, and those people are always going to recoil whenever he gets close to the title.

He was getting some heavy boos last Raw in San Jose. Dude could continue being booked like this for three years and have multiple favorites pushed ahead of him and he'll still get booed as the chosen management favorite

I think it's more he not be push down our throats like he was going into Mania and having come off as this clear cut chosen one leading up to it. I really can't tell IF he the guy to take the Cena spot or not. I mean he not horrible but I just don't feel the "it' factor that it takes for one to be THE guy. I feel he more like the Orton role to the Cena at best. But he still not nearly as over as a Ambrose who IMO should be given the ball. Bryan health is no much of a question at this point and I no longer see Bryan as the long term face of the company no matter how over he is and I like Bryan. Ambrose I find the safe choice as he can cut a great promo and have good matches and clearly over.

I like him. He's won me over. That said, I don't wanna see him as the champion for another year or two.

And while he has shown clear improvement in the ring, he's improved because The company is so desperate for him to be a "thing" that they've given him lots of ring time to work on his craft and grow. Roman is going to get so many second and third chances regardless of his limitations that eventually he'll become solid over time, just like Orton.

There's going to be a really weird thing with him, where no matter how good he gets, he's still going to "suck", because there are going to be fans of a lower card guy, like let's say... Fandango. Fandango fans are going to say "Well, if you let him work with as many top guys as Roman got to work with, Fandango would have been just as good if not better!" And people are still going to resent Roman because WWE didn't give up on him like they gave up on guys like Fandango, Swagger, and before them, on guys like Hawkins, Reks, Yoshi, Gabriel, etc. In a kind of screwed up way, he's still going to be seen as sucking just because of an impossible-to-prove belief that had someone else got the same development that Roman did, they'd be better than he is at that point in time.

I like him, he had a match with Big Show, at a show I went to. The crowd was cheering more for that match, than they were for the main event.

People didn't like him for various reasons and whatever the case is, he has steadied the ship with his great performances each PPV. If you continue to boo him because you don't like him fine but it's the "cool" thing to do in the crowd and that's what we are always going to see on TV.
The Orton comparison is valid but if people think Orton stayed at the top because of family is delusional and is denying one of the more talented people WWE has had. I don't know if Roman will reach Orton height but if you judge his improvement each year then the sky is the limit.
For me he went from a background character in the shield to being able to stand front and center. Hopefully people are giving him a chance and not just shitting on him because he is the "golden boy"

I laugh at people saying he proved himself at WrestleMania. Brock did 99% of everything in that match, and all Roman proved was that he can get the shit kicked out of him like a pro... Then superman punches until Rollins.
That said, I want to like him. He looks like a bonafide star (minus the stupid iron-on RR chest decal)... But I just find every single one of his single matches that aren't with Daniel Bryan that one time completely forgettable. He's just not good enough when he's not with someone that can carry a match.

They put him back with Ambrose to get people back on board and as long as he has good PPV matches he will get over. His problem has been the way he was booked but they have sort of pulled back on that and it has helped big time. Not giving him awful corny promo scripts has helped too.

Pretty much. It sucks that it took everything going to hell earlier in the year for us to get to this point but, at least they learned for once. Give them that much.
