I have joked about Court on here. I'll admit that he made a very good apology.

I didn't hear anything about Triplemania until yesterday, when I got around to listening to my LAW Radio downloads, and my God... Electroshock looks hideous in that outfit. And then there's one of the worst matches of all-time, with Los Villanos vs. the Psycho Circus. When you have a 63-year old storke victim and a bunch of fat guys working a trios match, it's just deplorable on all accounts. Also, wasn't this AAA's first American PPV since When Worlds Collide? That was 21 years ago! Yes on that last part and that was why my friend Steven bought the ppv, which is how I watched it.

As a follower of lucha libre, the Triplemania card was hella weak and put together the last second. The Mysterio vs Sin Cara Uno happened because AAA wanted to put their heavy hitter who are known by American audiences in the main event spot. Remember when WWE was building towards a Wrestlemania mask vs mask match that was also suppose to sit a record for most fans wearing masks? That got derailed because both guys kept getting injured and Cara's push freefalling. Before the tossed together main event, Cara was building towards a face off against long time rival, Averno. The El Patron/Cage feud didn't spark box office like they hoped and their showdown was the blowoff witch the outcome was never in doubt. Since Triplemanias traditionally have a cage match, they put most of their best highflyers in a cage. And we saw how well that worked out. The less said about the Blue Demon and Villanos matches, the better. Folks went in expecting action and drama like Lucha Underground and got a show that was very bad by even lucha standards.
