With another year now in the books with Cena in the world title match, anyone else feel like it's just overkill now? I don't think he's been in a mid-card feud at this time in the year for what seems like forever.
For reference sake here are his Summerslam matches to date:
2004: Cena vs. Booker T (United States Title) 2005: Cena vs. Jericho (WWE Title) 2006: Cena vs. Edge (WWE Title) 2007: Cena vs. Orton (WWE Title) 2008: Cena vs. Batista 2009: Cena vs. Orton (WWE Title) 2010: Cena vs. Nexus 2011: Cena vs. Punk (WWE Title) 2012: Cena vs. Punk vs. Big Show (WWE Title) 2013: Cena vs. Bryan (WWE Title) 2014: Cena vs. Lesnar (WWE Title) 2015: Cena vs. Rollins (WWE Title)
Might as well pencil in 2016 and 2017 while we are at it?

Funny thing is, he's only won two of these SummerSlam world title matches (2005 and 2007), and won only one other match (2010). Big Match John is a big ol' jobber come summer time.

How boring. For reference, the amount of time listed in the OP would cover the first Mega Bucks vs. Mega Powers SummerSlam through the Jesse Ventura SummerSlam with Austin vs. Triple H vs. Mankind.
WWE's storytelling moves slightly slower than a tectonic plate these days.

Agreed. That's why next year, it should be SHEAMUS... Against John Cena.

I made a thread about this not that long ago calling Cena "Mr. Summerslam" since he seems to always have the most high-profile Summerslam matches. Going against Batista and Nexus were his only non-title Summerslam matches since he started them and they're arguably more important than the title at times so, yeah. Cena's that dude.

Isn't it strange that Cena has never pinned or made Sheamus submit on PPV?
