oranges and apples, buddy
both Zayn vs. Owens at Rival and Unstoppable matches were built around the storyline, they weren't about epic match quality
true about Sasha of course

Zayn/Neville is still the crown jewel.
I thought both Owens/Zayn matches were great though.
Last night's main was underwhelming, though a lot of that has to do with following the aforementioned Sasha. And, to be honest, I am not feeling Finn Balor, especially as the champ.

I was going to say Balor/Owens I was better, but that took place at Beast in the East and wasn't even the main event (for reasons I will never understand), and Sasha is BAE, so I'll say true on both counts.

I absolutely agree that Sasha Banks has had the best matches at each TakeOver in 2015. However, I wouldn't say that the main events are lacking. I had Zayn/Neville from R-Evolution at ****3/4.
Since then I've given Zayn/Owens at Rival ****1/4, Zayn/Owens at Unstoppable ***3/4 and last night's ladder match ****1/4. As for Sasha, I had the Fatal Four Way at ****1/4, Sasha/Becky at Unstoppable at ****1/2 and last night's at *****.

Zayn vs Neville may be hard to ever top. That match was probably the best I've ever seen in NXT so far. I dunno if it'll get to the point where anybody surpasses, though I certainly wouldn't mind if they pulled it off.

True, thought Zayn/Neville was 5 stars, and it's pretty difficult to have 5 star main events every show.

True.
Since the NXT4 have kicked into the high-gear, the actual main event has been the cooldown match. They're booked like that as well. Hell, 'Unstoppable' was more about Joe's debut.

Yeah I'd put it up with the very top tier of matches, not something that can be used as a standard benchmark. Like Bayley winning the title it was one of those matches with years of build, with the added bonus of Neville's heelish ways on top of Zayn's rise.

It wan't main event because Cena was pulling double duty from a show in america, and he only got there half way through the show

Apples and oranges are both still produce though. Zayn/Neville and Zayn/Owens were both built around story first and match quality second. Zayn/Neville just happens to be a better match AND tell a better story simultaneously. Zayn/Owens wasn't as good of a match AND loses story points for the weird ending with them having to explain "Oh yeah, the title can totally change hands that way even though it's never happened before and we've never gone over that as a possibility." on the following episode of the weekly show. Subjective and all that of course. I'll try to explain: Zayn/Owens at Rival was "heartless asshole Owens tries to cripple former best friend only to win the title"...no technical classic needed Zayn/Owens at Unstoppable was "injured Zayn throws everything he has at maniac heel champ and they brawl til the wheels fall off"...again an emotional thing, no technical classic needed Neville/Zayn at R Evolution however was "Zayn has one last chance at title or has to end his career, doesn't go to the bad side during match, instead uses his skills to outmatch champ"...technical classic very welcome

True, thought Zayn/Neville was 5 stars, and it's pretty difficult to have 5 star main events every show. Exactly. Just because they haven't topped that match doesn't mean the main events have been bad at all. Zayne/Neville was just too perfect.
