During Seth-Cena, he said something about Rollins saying this match would be an historic passing of the torch and referenced Larry Holmes-Muhammad Ali, something else and ... Bret Hart to Shawn Michaels.
I guess he was referencing the Ironman match, or could have been, but the first thought that came to mind was the Montreal Screwjob.
Just thought that was kind of funny.
Anyone else catch that, and think of Montreal?

Would have been, had Cena actually lost clean as he should have.

Would have been, had Cena actually lost clean as he should have. With the state of Seth's character now, he shouldn't be beating any main eventers clean.

Seth looked more legit than he has since his singles run began. He was wrestling like a babyface Shawn Michaels/Eddie Guerrero combo out there. He easily could have won clean after that match and been credible.

I did see the match, and he wrestled really well, but he has been a chickenshit heel champion at every other juncture, and so he shouldn't have looked legit in that match, or he should have looked legit all along.

There's not even any point in beating Cena clean, because he'll just win the rematch anyway. And then win the one after that. That's what he does.
Seth can be the number 1 guy, but he needs to start looking stronger and actually dominating feuds, like Triple H used to (but not the same degree, because no one needs that).

Seth character has proven he can get it done in the ring and be a tough guy. It's the fact that his character bites off more than he can chew against the "big guys" but somehow he gets the victory. Seth doesn't care about how he wins but the fact that the title is around his waist. He's not weak or "over his head". This isn't Booby Roode levels of obnoxious where he would actually wrestle 20 mins and than low blow the opponent to keep the title. That doesn't help you as much as you think it would.

WM 12 was the passing of the torch, Montreal was the using of said torch to set fire to the guy that passed it to you.

I liked how he referenced that world famous footballer "Messay".

I liked how he referenced that world famous footballer "Messay". The idea of Pele 'passing the torch' to Messi is so ludicrous. JBL just googling any sports thing to reference again.
