I like what they are doing with Seth character and making him a weasel who slicks out victories but this thread isn't a knock on his championship reign but more of being tired of the heel champ that's had a good dominance over the last few years.
With the Authority being in control over the last two years it's obvious that a heel champ was going to have a good reign but I think WWE is going overboard. I think Bryan would of broke that trend but we all know the injuries have taken that out of the equation. Are you enjoying have the heel champ run around or is it time for a babyface to a good run to break up the disparity.

I've resigned myself to the fact that it'll either be Jhon or Reigns that'll end it.

If we get more of last night's Seth Rollins he can keep the damn belt until Wrestlemania as far as I'm concerned.

Heel champs do nothing for me. Pretty much all the heels in WWE don't do anything for me in terms of entertainment. I think all of them are stupid for the most part. Rollins as champion...I'll put it like this...I wouldn't even pay $9.99 to watch a show just for him headlining. You would have to pay me $50.00 just to sit there and watch his match.
They desperately need some fresh air brought into the title picture. Rollins reign seems like it's been an eternity in hell to me. It makes me long for the days of HHH holding it forever. At this point I don't care who takes it off him it could be El Torito and I'd be fine with it. Rollins = 2004 Randy Orton to me...mercilessly crammed down my throat at every opportunity they get. I'd take any face beating him at this point.

Nope. I love strong heel champs, much perfecting the chase and the celebration of overcoming them to a strong face champ that rarely looks bad or weak.

What it lacks is a babyface that people can get behind chasing him ... a heel champ's purpose is to enhance the popularity of the babyface who is chasing the title to give him that big moment when he wins it.

I want him to hold the title so they can do a Shield triple threat for the title. My original assumption was Reigns gets the MITB and Dean gets his star moment by winning the rumble. What it lacks is a babyface that people can get behind chasing him ... a heel champ's purpose is to enhance the popularity of the babyface who is chasing the title to give him that big moment when he wins it. Agreed that is a underplayed part of wrestling.

Heel champs work, but WWE's booking have made them really unappealing.
Rollins should be the guy who's really, really good, beating most people cleaning, only to OCCASIONALLY get authority help or need to run off like a loser.

Without sounded LOLTNA markish, I'd take EC3 over Rollins right now, more of a douchebag and won clean so he at least has some credibility as champion and doesn't need 52 year old man to help him win.

I thought this extract from the AV Clubs review of Takeover was on point yesterday and it's even more meaningful after S.Slam.

Rollins has beaten everyone
Really doesn't have any relevant face challengers left.

Yes. Show is better when it's centered around a face champion.

I just want Daniel Bryan to get a nice title run. Then I give no f***s. The world can just explode for all I care.

I like Rollins' reign personally. I agree that it lacks a proper protagonist to make the chase feel substantial, but Rollins' reign has been fun for the most part. I wish Triple H and Rollins had more of a Father/Son bond throughout before they inevitably turn on each other, and the running gag of Rollins going from golden boy to Authority's bitch gets a little tiresome (exact pattern they put Orton through), but it's fun watching Seth weasel his way out of shit and pretend like he's the best wrestler who ever lived.

ALL wwe ppvs are treated like a continuation. Takeover can't have the faces win everything all the time though.

The last two Takeovers before Brooklyn ended with Kevin Owens thoroughly demolishing the hero. (Though the second time had Samoa Joe appearing to save Sami Zayn from being further destroyed)

I'm sick of faces and heels completely.
These days, fans just want to see good matches and cool characters. NXT is proof of that. If anything, I think wrestling is most exciting when you have to "pick a side", it splits the crowd down the middle. That's when wrestling is at its best, when the crowd are on fire reacting to every move!
Everyone knows it's fake. So why not just have exciting characters with shades of grey? No outright bad or good guys, no pantomime heels, just some good REALISTIC storytelling. Let the crowd decide who they like. If they love the fact that Seth Rollins kicked The Shield's ass, then run with it. Don't have him heel it up on the crowd and push the idea that HE'S THE BAD GUY.
It's just an outdated philosophy in my opinion. And one I hope that dies down when HHH gets completely control of the company. NXT has shown some signs of it, but I look at Rollins and think "I've seen this all before."
The writing has just become so lazy and repetitive. WWE need to loosen up and take chances. Do things we've NEVER seen before. That's how wrestling becomes good again.

I'm really enjoying Rollins's title run at the moment. There aren't enough cheating heels these days. Having the champ be the one to do it turns that heelishness up all the way.

One of the foundations wrestling is built on is pointing out that the sports team of the local region is of poor quality and the teams located elsewhere certainly field players of a higher caliber. It turns out in fact, the rival team is of especially high quality.
