How do you think that would have worked out? A serious, politically motivated New day cause black people having fun and dancing is all racist apparently. Also, Big E is looking slim in business casual attire and Xavier looks like a totally different guy without the beard and hair tied back

All jokes aside, that could have been really intriguing, with all the current racially influenced police scandals and whatnot A great contemporary modern booker would have spun an amazing story with this. Can't Vince hire Dan Harmon or Nic Pizzolato?

I'm sure tying it into the current sociopolitical situation would have been sensitively and tactfully handled.

If I had to choose between WWE tackling political topics and getting beat up by all 3 members of New Day, I would go with the latter immediately.

It would've only been done slightly better than some of the stuff I heard TNA did recently. So that means it would've been very very bad.

These 3 are so talented that they could have made it work, but they are too hilarious not to love what they are doing.

I like how they are now, without heavy politics. My friend, who is totally out of the wrestling loop, swore up and down that New Day was racist when I tried to explain them (and how awesome they are)to him. I told him they're nothing like the Nation. They're just a group of extremely entertaining goofs, and champions might I add, who are hilariously funny and just so happen to be black. He can't accept black people being heels, as he thinks that that is automatically stereotypical and racist (my friend's white by the way). It's his opinion, but I don't agree. I don't see why Foley can be a goof and Xavier Woods can't.

If the 3 of them had stuck with being a cross between SRS Jericho and Louis Farrakhan, Xavier would have been future-endeavored long ago.

We need a group of rebel flag waving douchebags for them to feud with, but I could get behind it. Especially if it's written with thought and care. So basically, I don't trust WWE to ever properly handle this type of subject matter.

Was this something people really wanted? I thought it was a joke, like Chris Masters in a Sombrero. Any time like 3 black guys were on screen together the board would all yell "NEW NATION! NEW NATION!"
Except Masters in a Sombrero actually happened and it was glorious.

People knew they wanted something New, but they just didn't know what it was until now.

If your friend saw them as faces (and the way commentary would try to question why people couldn't be as positive as The New Day) he would not be thinking this right now.

Nation- Ron Simmons put his butt on the line to make it work.
New Nation- Lewis Skolnick would watch "I'm Gonna Get Ya Sucka" and base it on that.
No.
Scratch that. I mean HELL NO.
