I actually think Shane is going to surprise everyone and take over whenever Vince steps down/dies. Steph and HHH will handle creative and Shane will handle the business side of things, like Linda does now. It makes sense that Shane went off on his own to try and make a success out of another business and then comes back to lead the WWE business division when it becomes necessary. You know Shane will still have a large stock in the company, I can't imagine anything he may or may not have done got him written out of the will. It always seems like him and Vince are on good terms. this is actually soups interesting to me, since all the speculation assumes hhh will f*** up and/or sell the business side. maybe thats what shane's learning off in china. how to run a business for real.

I'm not even convinced Vince will let death submit him. Dying seems to be the sort of thing he'd equate as a sign of weakness. when you think of it, the ending of brock/taker at summerslam is probably a statement vince is making about death. you'll have to choke him out, and he'll give death the finger when he goes. also he beat death already. f*** you for talking about vince dying, he'll make undertaker world champion again just to beat undertaker again and prove MECHA SPIDER VINCE DOES NOT DIE!

I do understand what is meant by this, but honestly, sleeping only a couple of hours every night for DECADES (allegedly), plus I bet some serious drug use at times (allegedly) usually has negative effects on a man's brain/body. So where's the surprise here?
I mean, is it so far-fetched to make Vince step down as the company's head and demote him to at least advisor-only? he came across worse and more out-of-touch than ever before on the SCSA podcast

Im not sure it's so much being senile as it is just being 70 years old, pop culture has passed him by and I don't think he really gets his own genre anymore. Add into the fact he's being doing this basically 40 years, you can only have so many ideas.
From all accounts he spearheaded the WWE Network which is in some ways ahead of its time so he still has his genius moments.

If not senile he's clearly always been slightly mad. He hates sneezing and the words "hospital" and "head".

He probably gets more sleep than CM Punk did in WWE.

He's not senile. Just because he's weird and puts things on his wrestling program that people don't like, doesn't make him senile.

I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like "Vince had his finger perfectly on the pulse of pop culture in the 80's, knew to say "yes" to the right people in the 90's, and at some point in the 00's, just stopped listening to anybody but himself".

He's out of touch but calling him senile and such just seems unnecessarily vitriolic.

It's his company. He shouldn't step down before he's dead. It's easy for us to say because we enjoy it but it's much more than that to him. If I founded a company with everything I had and took it to global success and billions of dollars, you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming from it.

He used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what he's with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to him. It'll happen to you!

He's no more stubborn, out-of-touch or eccentric than any very wealthy and powerful 70-year-old man, really.
