After one hell of an extended weekend in the New York City area, Raw will now emanate live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. While it looks like Hurricane Erika will not pose a major threat to the Florida area after all, a storm of a different kind will rage on. Currently slated to open the show is "The Vigilante" Sting, who re-emerged for the first time since going toe-to-toe with Triple H at Wrestlemania 31. This time, Sting is targeting the centerpiece of The Authority, none other than the WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion Seth Rollins. Instead of getting a bronze statue, The Architect received a Vigilante. It has since been announced that Sting will challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship next month at Night of Champions. No doubt Sting will have some answers to some very important questions, most of all, whatever happened to that statue anyway? In addition to Sting, Seth certainly has not heard the last from John Cena, who had quite the "talk" with Jon Stewart last week. Every title must be defended at Night of Champions, so while Sting may have the WWE title shot, will the leader of the Cenation look to get a rematch for his United States crown?
However, Seth Rollins was not the only champion to be surprised with a comeback last week. For the first time in over a decade, The Dudley Boyz are back in the WWE and made an immediate splash in the tag team division, attacking current champions The New Day on Raw and following that up with a win over The Ascension on Smackdown. The New Day have taken exception to the Dudleyz and their use of wood, but that did not stop Bubba Ray and D-Von from putting both Xavier Woods and Viktor through tables last week. What does this mean for the tag team division? More importantly, what other musical talents do the tag team champions possess?
In other championship developments, it was announced on social media over the weekend that one of Team PCB will (FINALLY) get the chance to challenge for the Divas' Championship. How will the new #1 Contender be established? For the first time ever, there will be a Divas Beat the Clock challenge to determine which member of PCB will get the chance. The stakes are high, as not only does a title shot hang in the balance, but this could very well be the final chance for someone to stop Nikki Bella from breaking AJ Lee's record as longest Diva's championship reign and finishing the Road to 300. With the crowds getting tougher on the Divas in the last few weeks, the Divas' Division will be looking to up their game in order to impress the WWE Universe and grab the brass ring. However, among the black cloud from last week's disastrous Miz TV segment is Miz's question of whether this opportunity could cause tension within Team PCB.
While last week saw the return of a few legends, it also saw a beginning. The war raged on between The Broken Shield and The Wyatt Family, and reeling from the loss at Summerslam, Bray would bring in a new member. Enter Braun Stowman, the so-called "Black Sheep" of the Family. Try as they could, nothing Ambrose or Reigns could do would seemingly scratch this behemoth. The sides are now three-on-two, so will The Lunatic Fringe and The Big Dog be able to up the ante in this rivalry, or will they be put down once again?
Speaking of rivarlies, another big rematch will take place on Raw as Dolph Ziggler will face Rusev tonight. Nothing was settled between Brute and Showoff at Summerslam, so will the score be settled in this confusing love square gone wrong?
All this, and Big Show possibly turning face again, on Raw at 8PM EDT on USA Network, with the live preshow featuring Stanford, Otunga, and Graves at 7:30 PM, only on WWE Network!
