Oh no, it's not over. The NFL will appeal and it can take about 6 month to a year for the case to be heard. Now here is the fun question, what happens if the appeals court's decides in the NFL's favor and the decision comes down during the dead week of the Superbowl which the Pats are playing in? I know that won't happen, we are doomed for another offseason of this pointless stupid shit. I rather hear about a big fat lineman's love for tea cup chihuahuas in tutus than deflation scandal 2015. If that happens I will get a hardy laugh at every Pats fan drowning out my Facebook feed with their smug posts.

Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so.
The NFL made no freaking effort to do what the judge asked, which was come to a settlement out of good faith, especially when they had a legit deal the NFLPA gave them (which was Brady would take a suspension, but only if it was because he destroyed his phone).
Maybe now a movie or book will be made about this whole incident and I have a title for it. It shall be called "Integrity of the Game: How the NFL Botched Deflategate" or "The Wells Farce".

Brady wins, Commish's office is dead, please let's move on. Goodell said they're appealing. So, let's all enjoy another 6 months of this story. :/ They can try to appeal all they want. Brady is playing so it won't do much good.

IT'S NOT OVER YET, SNAKE!

To all of you who are mad, blame the NFL's stubbornness. They acted like they were freaking invincible and they fell down to earth hard.

I imagine Goodell doing this upon hearing the news: I also imagine him wearing the exact same outfit

I've got two words for GoodellIt's time for Goodell to go. The constant failures of him and his office has rendered him absolutely feckless. Though honestly, as long as they keep being led by the nose by the media, sooner of later, something is going to explode in their faces. Mark my words, the NFL is going to suspend someone as a knee-jerk reaction to the media, only to find out the reason they suspended him turned out to be completely phony. The NFL needs someone with the balls to tell the media and the whiners and complainers of the world to piss off.

I can't stand anybody involved in this nonsense. Goodell is a schmuck, Brady is a cheat, and God willing we're going to hit a point soon where the NFL starts losing popularity, because my God what a wretched mess they make of things.

To all of you who are mad, blame the NFL's stubbornness. They acted like they were freaking invincible and they fell down to earth hard. Goes both ways. Brady said he would settle if the NFL did such and such. NFL said they would settle if Brady did such and such. Neither were going to budge. Just because the opinion of one dude was that Goodell overstepped his bounds, doesn't mean the next guy won't say the complete opposite. Happens all the time, that's why there's an appeals court.

I consider rewording why you are being suspended as more reasonable than saying they would reduce your suspension only if you cop to an even worse charge (perjury) so they can suspend you longer for that. But I guess different strokes for different folks.

Might be possible, but the league is appealing. It's not going away before that. Trust me, I am also sick as f*** of this story

Can you imagine if this clusterf*** goes to the SCOTUS? It would be a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Can you imagine if this clusterf*** goes to the SCOTUS? The only thing I can imagine more than this going to the Supreme Court is the equally likely endgame right now: The case does go to the Supreme Court, and they see the facts (the CBA required a far lower punishment, Goodell had no right to demand Brady's cell phone without a search warrant- and no court in the world would give Goodell a search warrant over breaking a rule in a football game). They hear the case, and the result becomes clear: "We know this case is technically unconstitutional, and giving a private enterprise the option to go after a search warrant is opening up a hill of beans that will ruin the whole country...but dammit- six of us judges are from New York/New Jersey and we want to stick it in the Patriots' faces...and Justice Kennedy has Brady in the Supreme Court Fantasy Football league and he's been getting really cocky about it. We find 8-1 in favor of Roger Goodell."

Goodell has decided he will not attend the Pats-Steelers game, saying him being there would take away from the action on the field.
Are you sure it is that and not, both teams might want to kill me if I show up?

Oh and Roger Cossack is being a whiny little b****, arguing with the NFLPA executive director over this whole thing. Also nice of Smith of to remind Cossack of Tagiliabue's decision to reverse the Bountygate punishment.

Roger Goodell is now an effing joke.
The only thing I care about is that we as Colts fans, once again, have to hear a bunch of nonsense from Patriots fans about how whiny and pathetic we are when most of us have moved on.
