It's going to be Apollo Crews if he chooses to explore acting. He's got charisma for days.

Still going with Alexa Bliss being the woman that breaks out and hits the mainstream.

Miz could have a future in acting, he's mostly in TV and straight to DVD movies but Batista was in some real stinkers before Guardians and Miz isn't restricted to being the big goon character.

Xavier Woods has a real charisma and likability about him.
I don't know if that will translate into acting, but I can certainly see the guy in TV presenting or hosting.

I think it will be a black man. It would be different for WWE, and I think there's a greater chance of across the board appeal. Lets be real, black people are trendsetters. Then white people copy them and make it okay for other white people be into it.
Never mind, it will be a white man who effectively copies a black man in a way that gets over with white people. Like Vanilla Ice.
My God. The next crossover star is on the roster.
AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!!!!!

Finn Balor has a good look If they explore more ideas with Finn's body paint than just the Demon stuff, they could sell an insane amount of merchandise.

Braun Strowman. He and Ellen DeGeneres star in a buddy cop dramedy in 2017 that breaks all of Jurassic World's box office records.

And sterotyping groups to have different abilities is troubling, and completely off base.

Nobody. In a world where the most obscure version of everything ever made is so easy to access online, everything is becoming more niche. Batista was the last guy that had the potential to be this and WWE spunked the potential of that up the wall. WWE needs to not be looking for the next crossover star, they need to be trying to make their existing fanbase happy so they don't walk away when you job out the guys they like.

I could see Ambrose chancing into a good acting gig but much like Batista it would have to be one where the character is carried by body language and charisma rather than vocal acting skills.

Yeah, when it comes right down to it there is a long history of black culture becomng what's cool and successful soon as white people are the ones presenting it. Mostly in music but it does certainly happen.

I've said it before, I'll say it a million times: It should be Big E. He looks like he could kick pretty much anyone's ass and oozes charisma.
However, it will probably still be John Cena for awhile.

Punk should have been the guy - at his peak, a self-aware character who could appeal to exactly the kinds of fans who had been driven away - but they fought it every step of the way ("No, you want Sheamus!", turning away sponsors who had specifically reached out to Punk, making Cena also Anti-Authority). If anyone is going to crossover at all, the company needs to get out of the way of already creative people.
I agree with others that New Day has something going. All three are charismatic. They have a fun, self-aware gimmick. Woods is already out there doing things on his own and engaging a potentially new set of fans. I could easily see the three of them doing goofy things on Fallon and catching on even just a little bit. Leveraging them a spot on a show like that should be what corporate is doing.

Dean Ambrose seems like a guy that could do action movies, if the new 12 Rounds sequel featuring him is any indication.

When you define backwards baseball hats and baggy pants as "black culture" is where problems arise.

You know how WWE has their guys (and girls) who they always send out to make media appearances because they represent the company well (well-spoken, clean cut, etc).
Apollo Crews has that written all over him.
I can see him in a suit on the Today Show already.
