How did this all form? I remember during the Wrestlemania 2000 preshow, there was a clip of him saying how unprofessional he was and he did not like working with him.
Fast forward 13-14 years later and they are now the best of friends, and even after Warrior's passing, HHH still heaps a ton of praise on him to this day.
So how did this relationship thaw out like that?

Time heals a lot and Triple H has no doubt matured into his corporate role. Keep in mind WWE had everyone trashing Warrior up until a couple of years ago.

HHH knows the business needs it's legends and for the most part a lot of people who have had a problem with Vince or in general, HHH can sway and show them how the product is different. Time heals old wounds and in that case it just took a case of finding common ground and that's how we got to see Warrior one more time before his passing.

I thinks it's a matter of HHH being a professional and doing what's, dare I say, best for business.

HHH isn't the f***ing boogeyman that the Internet makes him out to be, Warrior isn't the hard headed jackass that the Internet makes him out to be and both hate the Internet so it was just meant to be.

I think Warrior mellowed quite a bit in his last few years. He wrote that really heartfelt tribute to Savage when he passed, and even quickly smoothed things over when he made an offhand comment about Jake Roberts after he was announced for the Hall of Fame with him.

Keep in mind that HHH talked about Ric Flair being a mentor to him in WCW (while having Flair as his manager in WWE), but in 1998 HHH gave an interview saying Flair should retire and put himself out of his misery during Flair's walkout.

He realized that decades old grudges can be put aside for a night or two in return for huge profit and grab the attention of fans who lost interest by the time marine jorts city came around.

I noticed a new Ultimate Warrior poster on the wall of The Authority's office tonight. What was that about? They giving him another DVD?

Both guys have a similar family and Warrior was happy later in life to just raise his children, Warrior had nothing else to prove and wasn't selling his name out like a lot of legends.

Warrior had only himself to blame on that front, the internet didn't post Warrior ranting about his coworkers on itself, or produce the long shoot videos where he ripped apart Hulk Hogan or replied to every little comment someone in wrestling made about him. I watched those videos, they didn't really paint him in a good light even if I dislike the subjects of his rants more.

He died. Dead people can no longer damage the company ala Hogan. Thus you hear Rollins comparing himself amongst the greatest of all time Warrior, Sammartino, and Andre now. They probably figure Sammartino's too old to say anything now.

I think that Warrior may have known that he was not long for this world. He quite possibly may have approached Vince McMahon on the serious tip. As much as we like to goof on Vince McMahon he knows what time it is, so Vince and his "doofus son in law" (wink wink) buried the hatchet immediately. That's my take on it...

PWTorch posted an article at the time of the Hogan scandal about all the things Warrior had said in the past that was pretty eye-opening.

I think with Warrior, the problem the WWE and Vince had with him was strictly their problem. The fans still had a very positive opinion of him, despite the hatchet job DVD, internet rantings, etc., so the WWE eventually had to either bury the hatchet with him and collaborate on things like likeness rights, other DVDs, Legends contracts and so forth, or see an opportunity for more money walk out the door, albeit less money than it could have been if Warrior didn't go to such lengths to keep so much of his character.
