Men, women, doesn't matter, who can pull it off? Who can be a great champion overall? I'll get the easy ones out of the way.
Sasha Banks: Starts off as a heel champion and midway she goes face. Eventually loses the belt through an amazing match with one of the other Four Horsewomen preferably Becky Lynch
and
Kevin Owens: Heel going face. Already an amazing heel, if he goes face just have him be the same as he always is except go against heels, maybe bring up more "this is for my family" comments, have him be that kind of face, the one not out brawling to keep major faces held back from wrestling (Taker/Lesnar feud) but the guy out there who's strictly about his business.
Dean Ambrose: Either heel going face or face going heel, doesn't matter because his heel run will make this. Ambrose as a heel on the mic is money waiting to happen so he'll be able to pull this off surely. Just imagine Ambrose being as much of an ass as Triple H was in 2000 and we're good.
and years down the line...maybe 1 1/2 years who knows maybe next year
Roman Reigns: Face going heel midway. Start off by having Reigns as his current self with Ambrose and then he turns on Ambrose, straight up turn him into an asshole Outsiders Kevin Nash mode and he's good to go. Hell, have the Usos be part of his crew. Overall he'd do well. I think. Say he wins at WM32, he'll be decent enough with this.

I think Seth could, as long as he distances himself from the Authority and continues to put on great matches.
I would like Ryback to do that with the IC title, considering no one has held the title a year since HTM. Hell, I wouldn't mind if it was mostly squash matches.
Tag team? Probably the Usos. I love New Day, but thwy work mostly as guys who would win the titles multiple times over as opposed to holding them a long time.

...In 2015 WWE?
No one, haha. The product simply moves too fast for it not to feel stale or played out by the end. Kinda like Punk's run where they were clearly just padding it out near the end to build up the match with Rock.

It's certainly more memorable.

No one.
WWE is too oversaturated for such a long reign.

Whether a long reign works or not would depend more on their challengers than just the champion.
That said, 6-9 months is a better reign length in the modern age. There's simply too much product to get a year out of anyone now without luck, sacrifice, and patience. WWE seems to run out of steam on people much too quickly for that.

If The Rock match wasn't looming Ryback would of gotten the title for a one month reign more than likely. If you take the bullshit title reigns of Cena and Del Rio that was like 3 months, Punk had(or was involved) with the title from July 2011 to January 2013.

I think Lesnar could if he actually defended the title every month, and while he was doing so another star was actually built to dethrone him.

Seth is 6 months in as World Champion, I really dont see any reason to take the belt off him anytime soon hes the perfect chickenshit heel champion you want to build up to a big loss on a big stage, ie where he won it, Wrestlemania. Putting it on Sting does nothing for the company but give the old nostalgic pop, I think a three way with Rollins/Reigns/Ambrose at Wrestlemania next year is where he drops it. To which one though?
Cena never needs the belt again, Undertaker never needs the belt again.. same for Orton and even Lesnar really. I say give Seth a one year run.

Brock Lesnar, I liked that he only deafened the title a few times while champion. I do not think a WWE title match has to be on every PPV, in 1997, WCW had plenty of PPV's that did not have a world title match. WCW did something that the WWE could never do and made a non title feud the most interesting feud in the company. DDP VS Savage was one of the best feuds that WCW ever had. It main evented two WCW PPV's and lasted months. A World title is not needed if non title feuds have time to develop and not seem stale. When Brock does defend the title, the match will seem a lot more important than it would if he defended it every month.
The problem with Rollins having the title for over two years is that,he would get injured if he defended it every month for two years. The man seems to love to top himself every time he wrestles and by doing so takes a big toll on his body.

^ True. I liked how Brock made the title matches seem rare. Reminds me of Hogan in the 80's who only showed up on SNME (not even every show) and PPV

There is no kayfabe logic for why Brock vanished. What company would allow its champ to disappear like that? It looked dumb no one wanted a shot.
I never want to go nearly 4 months without a title match again. If Brock is gonna win it again, he needs monthly defences.
