Probably either To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar or How Big How Blue How Beautiful by Florence + The Machine.

Gun to my head, I Love You, Honeybear by Father John Misty, with To Pimp a Butterfly in a VERY close second. It's been those two at the top all year.

I should probably check out that new Kendrick. I'm so lazy with getting around to checking out new rap albums for some reason

Bad Magic by Motörhead.
It's the best Motörhead record since the last Motörhead record.

Not exactly fair, since I've only heard 3 new albums this year. But...

The only albums I really got into were Cherry Bomb by Tyler the Creator and Sol Invictus by Faith No More. Still gotta check out the new Maiden record.

It's weird that To Pimp a Butterfly came out this year. I feel like it's been out forever, it just fell right into that all-time favorites pile so quickly. I'd say it's my favorite album since....2008? That speaks more to my lack of listening to new music than anything, but it'd probably still be my favorite because it's just right up my alley. The moment Wesley's Theory kicked in I was hooked, then I heard For Free? and knew I was gonna love it.

The Dear Hunter's Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise. Just a great f***ing album with something new to discover on each listen. It was a long time coming but definitely worth the wait. I prefer it to Act III though I still think Act II is the best.

Not exactly fair, since I've only heard 3 new albums this year. But... The Dear Hunter - Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise Casey is a cool dude, I have hug out with him a few times, and my buddy filled in on drums for some shows too if I recall.
