I was at the SD taping during the Eddie/Rey "Who's Dominic's Papi?" storyline where they had a counselor/child services/whatever. I left my seat, made a phone call, got snacks and souveneirs, and when I came back to my seat they were STILL going.
I went to a poorly attended SD House Show (It was on a Monday, Raw was nearby). made the best of it, and my running commentary got me a soda from another fan.

I... this is going to sound weird, but I've been to live events and television tapings and always enjoyed myself. But the one that came the closest to having me leave the arena feeling empty would be Wrestlemania 22. It wasn't entirely WWE's fault, I guess, but it was at that time where all of my favorites were injured or suspended, and Eddie had just died, and I disliked how they shot Rey into the world title run because of it, and... yeah.

Even when I go see a bad show I have a great time. However, there were two times I remember being disappointed.
I went to a Raw in March 2012. The show was alright and featured HBK, Rock & Undertaker, but I was dying to see Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes. Neither guy showed up.
I also attended TLC 2014. That was just plain bad outside of Harper/Ziggler.

I've been to two WWE live shows: a house show at the IZOD Center and a WWE Raw (which Jon Stewart showed up for) at the Prudential Center. Both shows were pretty fun to attend. I think there is something about being in a live audience for something versus watching it on TV that makes it more exciting.

That I can agree with. I've been to shows that people said were absolutely awful but I had a good time.....

I've been to Raw's and even Smackdowns that I had a ton of fun at, yet I came home to find this board completely trash the show. Being there live definitely helps as you have zero commentary and Kevin Dunn's greasy hands aren't all over your enjoyment of the action.

Smackdown house show in 2012 headlined by Sheamus vs. Del Rio made me give up as a fan for a while.

The only show I ever felt meh for that I attended was 1/2/06 Raw at Izod. It was the go home show for New Years Revolution 2006. Friends got me the tix as a Christmas gift so it wasn't all bad

I was at the Raw with the Kane/Lita wedding. I think it's certainly the most dreadful show that I've been to. The wedding, in person, took up around 35-45 minutes (Including setting up the ring). Only 2 matches on Raw: Ric Flair vs William Regal (In the middle of Eugenemania) and Chris Jericho vs Edge (Which ended in a DQ when Edge crotched Jericho on the top rope). Finally, The Rock making a special apperance as the MC for the Divas Search 'pie-eating' contest where even he had to mention the dead crowd (And this was at the beginning of Raw!)
I also went to a Smackdown taping last September that felt underwhelming. Very short matches (Including an Emma/Paige match that went 60 seconds), we got Seth Rollins vs RVD twice in 50 minutes (One for Main Event, one taped for Smackdown. Was fine, but the second match was monotonous for the wrestlers & the crowd), and the main event of The Wyatt Family vs Mark Henry, Big Show, & Roman Reigns. Outside of the Rusev/Swagger match, I was slumping in my seat for the most part. Maybe I was spoiled from the last Smackdown show I went to that had Cesaro beat Randy Orton in the main event

I've been to many WWE events over the years and have always had a great time, but I have been witness to some horrible segments and matches.
For instance, a 3 hour Raw in late 2006 in Washington, DC, there was a segment that featured Cryme Tyme and a fake George Bush. When I say the crowd, including me, could give two shits I mean it.
Also, I went to Wrestlemania 26 which was a great show, but the only blemish on it was the seemingly never ending Brett vs Vince match.

I've been to some brutal Raw's in the early to mid 2000's where you would literally get 20 minutes of wrestling for the entire show. At least later, I guess starting around 2007, they added a dark match main event after the tapings as I guess they started to become conscientious to the fact that it wasn't fair to fans who paid decent money to have sit through two hours plus of promos and backstage segments. I think the worst show was a Raw taping I went to in April 2001 with my Dad. There was a taped Jakked which just had jobber matches and then the live Raw which had one decent Matt Hardy against Edge match and then promos and one to two minutes matches including the main event which was Undertaker and Stone Cold ended in minute after a Triple H run in. I didn't complain about it because my Dad paid for the tickets and I didn't want to make him feel bad, but I was pretty crabby about it.
Another stinker was a Smackdown taping I went to in September 2013. Very boring and uneventful show with the main event being Randy Orton beating the Miz in a squash match. The only good thing I enjoyed in the whole taping was the Shield against Ziggler, Kofi, and RVD. Also thanks to good seats I managed to make it on TV during the opening Orton promo, so that made it a more worthwhile experience then it normally would've been.

My first ever live event was the 1995 king of the ring. Even 10 year old me knew it was horrible. Nothing since has been that awful, a jbl era smackdown was lousy. The runble this year, well the triple threat was awesome, so it had that thankfully. Booing roman was so fun.

Yes, I attended the Raw Supershow that ended with Vince McMahon forcing Shawn Michaels to kiss his ass.

Yeah, I went to a house show (which are usually AWESOME) in Oakland about...two-three years ago.
Just not fun. Every other match was "use the hashtag WWEoakland to blah blah blah."
It felt more like a lite version of a boring RAW than an actual house show, which is usually a little looser and more fun.
Which is funny because not more than 2 year prior to that house show there was one of the best house shows I've been to from WWE where Chris Jericho tried to eject fans and started his promo with "Silencio Mexicanos." CM Punk was at the height of his SES gimmick. SO MUCH HEAT in that building, it was ridiculous. People were throwing full drink cups and batteries at them. Crazy stuff.

worst one I can remember was a house show honkytonk man vs brutus the barber beefcake main event- I think it was supposed to be savage but he didn't make his flight or something- did get to see that later though. cowboy scott casey and I want to say iron sheik had a 15 minute resthold filled opening match- which they later recreated exactly a week or so later in 2 minutes on superstars. Bolsheviks vs random jobbers. The Duke of Dorchester (the show was in boston) Pete Dougherty fought I think bam bam bigalow (not to be confused with the time he and Hogan teamed up against someone and my friend and I felt bad for bam bam having to stay in the ring and do Hogan poses for ten minutes while Hogan did his usual post match thing).
I may have mixed up/combined a couple shows here but a lot of the house shows I went to were pretty much only the main event was decent. and no one did any of the goofball stuff you see video of these days at house shows.

I have fun at all shows.
Lucky me, I witnessed a Krissy Vaine/Michelle "Lovin' Life" McCool match...night of a thousand clotheslines.
But I passed on Gas Station Attendant Daniel Bryan as a Wyatt member.
Eh, dem's the berries.

You been alright?
