Diva is such a stupid term.
Is Rhonda any less of a world champion because she is a female? No, but then why are the WWE Divas'?

If they did that I'd like a secondary title.

They've marketed the word "diva" so much that a change would be surprising although yeah they need to do it.

Because WWE loves to brand everything. The male wrestlers are Superstars, and the women are Divas.

That'd be a great way to get back to the women's championship without having to acknowledge Moolah.

Because WWE loves to brand everything. The male wrestlers are Superstars, and the women are Divas. Call them "SuperStarlettes" and dub the title thusly. It actually lines up more and creates better "corporate synergy".

They should absolutely abandon the term and title. Yesterday was the perfect time to do it. Charlotte should have unveiled the Women's title.

Superstar is already gender neutral, slapping 'lette' on the end seems kind of insulting, I mean, you wouldn't call a female doctor a doctorlette or a female detective a detectivelette. I know starlets are a thing, but they tend to be young and inexperienced, full of potential but not yet real stars.

Keep the Divas branding if you must; that doesn't mean you need to call the title that. As has been said, it's not the WWE Superstars championship. The insistence on forcing that bit of branding into everything about the division - the title name, the various incarnations of "Divas division theme song" over the years, even the way the ring announcers emphasize "this is a Divas match" when someone is walking down the ramp - make the Divas seem less like part a legitimate division and more like what they are: a diversion, a piss-break, another act in the abysmal variety show that is Monday Night Raw.

IMO Ronda would be even more of a champion if her Title Belt was a bedazzled pink butterfly. Well, Rousey is the UFC Diva's Champion, so it would make more sense if her belt reflected that.

It kind of is what it is now, while I prefered the Womens Championship they have been marketing the term Divas for 16 years now, had the Divas Title for 7 years and the Womens Title has been gone for 5 years. Its nice to know people like The Bellas are not tainting the lineage of the Womens Title, it was bad enough with Debra, The Kat and Harvey. Plus you have Total Divas and all that jazz, I just dont think they would want to change it.

See I'd argue the worst thing you can do with the evils of history is to ignore them. Just don't praise/market them. But that argument has it's own problems as well. Meh, it's wrestling not world history. I suppose they can do whatever they want in their own sandbox.Just watch out for cat turds.

WWE won't bring back the Women's title due to Moolah's hideous legacy. Notice how they pretty much whitewashed her after her death. They scrapped that title. Barely mention Moolah on their website or tv broadcast. WWE knows that if someone actually concentrate and dig through, she would make the Hogan and Snuka scandals seem like a TMZ fluff piece. The women are Divas due to it not only being a branding method but the word was popular when they rebranded the Women division. Folks hate the word but forget that women retook the word from the negative stigma (Which started off as a compliment of the highest order for women) attached to something of power, fearlesness, and fierceness.

Because WWE needed a title that matched Steph's trampstamp.
