I'm a fan of D'von, but it's obvious Bubba's the better guy in the Dudley Boyz. Do you think in current WWE he could swing a successful Bully Ray type solo run? I'd like to see him as a strong player in the upper midcards. Admittedly, I've seen about 2 months total of TNA, but he seemed to have done well there. Unless WWE just sees the Dudleyz as a temporary tag attraction only.

His TNA main event heel run WAS his good solo run. Now he has a super cushy gig as one of the most over acts on the biggest wrestling show in the world to finish out his career.

I feel like Bully Ray was a massive vanity project for Bubba, he had a bit of clout in TNA so he got to play that Triple H character he never could. Would WWE give him most the promo time, a hot girlfriend, a stable and go over most of their roster? Being over 40 to boot? Doubt it.
That and Kevin Owens is pretty similar to Bully Ray already, as far as being a big trash talking brawler, then you have Rusev and Wyatt who can also go there. His only chance is if Show or Kane have a sudden retirement and they need a new veteran in the upper card, and even then the character would be watered down.

I have no interest in him being a singles star in WWE.

Oh yeah, easily. In a day and age where heels struggle to stay heels, Bubba doesn't have that problem. He can easily be a midcard guy for ages that just based on that.

Of course he could, but WWE has too many great solo talents to waste their time on Bubba going solo again, quite frankly. The tag team scene needs him more than the mid card scene does.

He should have had that in 2002.
WWE once again showed their incompetence by turning D-Von into a stereotypical preacher that didn't work and kept Buh Buh Ray as the table breaking face. Then again, I don't know of anyone was going to be able to get over as a serious heel on Raw in 2002 with Triple H on top.

I doubt they'd let him be his TNA character.

No
He's best doing the nostalgia act with the Dudleys.

I hope he gets the chance to do that act in WWE at some point. If it fails it fails but it would be cool to see it

He's a veteran talent who can get genuine heel heat, so he could do a good job for them given a chance, but they need him more as part of a tag team.

He could have a good solo run but nothing more than being a Intercontinental champion. I liked his Bully Ray stuff in TNA before pre Aces and Eights, so I believe he can pull it off as a singles guy.

If people are really that against the Dudleys (Because screw over tag teams?) Than he would make an amazing manager.

Not use old guys as a crutch to "put over" a team that's already over because they're too lazy to use a good chunk of their roster in a meaningful way.

Yes. I was hoping after his Rumble appearance he'd be hired by the authority as Rollins' muscle. Bubba > "Local Men"
