I remember an episode of superstars where bulldog was doin a quick promo where he mentioned Matilda (or Winston) having puppies. Was that it or some other reason for the switch? When did he stop using the dogs?

Matilda was gone before the British Bulldogs left the WWF in late 88. When Davey Boy came back solo in 91, thats when Winston was introduced. Winston had a very short stint though as he was gone by the summer of 91.

Did Matilda ever reappear after she was kidnapped by The Islanders? I cant even remember. I started watching when he had Winston so I always remember Winston first despite his short stint, I just remember him at Wrestlemania 7, he looked really pissed off at being there haha. Cant remember when he stopped using him either.

Matilda got trained to be a weasel hunting dog and Heenan wore one of those suits guys wear to train attack dogs. Matilda chased him down the aisle, and according to Heenan Dynamite spent the day feeding her hot dogs and she had uncontrollable gas all day.

A small gap of November 1988 to November 1990 (2 years) seems like such a huge gap to me, yet 2013 to 2015 seems like a day in between.

Hmm, here's something interesting I just discovered about Davey Boy Smith. Apparently "Boy" wasn't just apart of a nickname, but his actual middle name (at least according to Wikipedia). Is this a British thing?

Nope, not a British thing. Not heard of anyone with the name or middle name Boy.

Is this a British thing? Nope, his mum just made a mistake on the birth certificate. Although, I think it actually helped him a little. It might sound odd, but that name just fitted him really well.

I assume Matilda died between 1988 and 1990, considering they use to feed her steriods, I heard Winston was dropped because the he was untrained and constantly was a hassle for the ring crew person that was assigned to watch him during Davey's matches to control
