Decision time for me then - only a week or so to decide if I'm actually going to go a WrestleMania. The planets have aligned for me to possibly go, but I still can't decide. It's a lot of money since I'd want a decent travel package that I really should be spending on more sensible things, the current product is awful, I'd be going on my own, and really I should've grown-out of this when I was 13. But it's WrestleMania! It might be the last chance to see the Undertaker, and to see some other legends who only come-out at WrestleMania, or guys like Lesnar. And there's NXT. And I'd love to explore Texas. And the stadium looks awesome. And being 13 was a lot more fun than what I am now So basically the decision is a battle between 13-year old me and 31-year old me

It's about 2 grand if my girlfriend and I went, and that's just hotel/flights/WM itself in the 400 section, and NXT. That's an awful lot of money. Looks like I'm out.

I'm sure the travel packages never used to be this much. I know you get a lot more than you used to but I don't remember spending that much.
Might just have a go at the general sale and see what happens.

Yeah very happy I decided to just book things separately. The travel packages are just too much at this point to justify it.
For those that were banking on the travel packages....couple things.
1) Downtown Dallas hotels can still be found for $149-$199 night. That's pretty cheap. Check with WWN Live as they have blocks. Wrestlecon does also. 2) You can get tix to all the stuff in the package, and you'll still save money. Only sacrifice will be seats as they reserve the best seats for package holders (unless you wait until February when they start releasing tickets not sold in the blocks) 3) it's manageable. Don't let the WWE package deal kill it for you. Look into booking it separately.

I'm weighing-up the separate option to contrast with the packages - when does detailed pricing usually get released for Mania, Raw, HoF, etc.? The best guide I can see now is tickets for Mania at $18-$1,180 - which doesn't really help with devising a budget

The best guide I can see now is tickets for Mania at $18-$1,180 - which doesn't really help with devising a budget Mania pricing should be out soon. Anticipate around October 19 when they have Raw in Dallas because I'm going to guess they'll release a presale code for fans in attendance. I've been to AT&T Stadium for a Cowboys game. The 100 level doesn't have a whole lot of seats in them, so anything on that level would be great. The 200 level is actually floor level of the stadium (When you walk into the venue you're on the 200 level). You'll have a great view in the 200 level if you go there to save a couple dollars also. The hardest ticket to get on face value will be Raw the night after Mania. That will have standard price for Raw (~$30 for cheap seats, ~$110 front row) but most of the really good seats get taken up by the travel package. You might have to go to Stubhub or another secondary market ticket place to grab really good Raw seats. Consider this though, you might pay a little more than face value for the Raw ticket but you're still going to save money than if you did the package. Hall of fame tickets are easy to come by. Don't worry about those. That will also range from about $30-$110. The travel package tickets I had last year were $100 each and they were in the lower bowl...You will be able to get tickets off ticketmaster with this event. I've never had trouble finding them on the primary market. (You might even be able to get them UNDER face value on Stubhub etc as the event comes closer. Reason being, lineup announced and some people skip the HOF for other shows and will just dump the ticket for whatever they can get). General admission for Axxess will run you about $30 and you can buy these at the door even. They don't ever "sell out." If you want VIP or premium VIP those go quick on Ticketmaster, but you only get those with the highest level of travel package also.

Thanks MWC - that's really helpful No problem. If you need anything feel free and drop me a private message. I've been to 5 mania's already (24, 25, 26, 30, 31) and I'm going to 32. I've done both travel packages (24, 30, 31) and booked things on my own (25, 26, 32) so I can help you either way on that.

How do the prices on these packages? Is the price listed per person?
Say two people wanted to get the silver package with the four night hotel. How much would that be within the range they show?

About $1700 per person. The max price is if only one person is in the party. The smallest price is if there is four people in the party.

How hard do you guys think it will be to get NXT and RAW tickets? Obviously with the package it is basically guaranteed but for around 3,000 dollars for the silver package for two people that is a pretty steep price and seems like they are gouging quite a bit.
Was it hard to get NXT and RAW tickets last year? Do you think it will be harder this year due to Wrestlemania holding more people and NXT being in the same building as Axxess?

Was it hard to get NXT and RAW tickets last year? Do you think it will be harder this year due to Wrestlemania holding more people and NXT being in the same building as Axxess? I had no issue at all getting NXT tickets last year in San Jose. Went on ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale and found 4 tickets together within seconds. It could be tougher to get this year but last year's event held about 5,000. This year's will have capacity for about 9,000, so that might help. Axxess might play a factor, but don't think it will be that huge. There is also a couple of other factors that might make it easier to get NXT tickets. 1) Time of the event hasn't been announced yet. If they go with a late start time like last year, it might deter that Axxess crowd that you are slightly worried about. 2) There are a lot of people that are opting to attend the other shows in the area around the same time. ROH starts at 7:30 that night. Gabe Sapolsky is running EVOLVE and Viva La Lucha around the same time frame (7:00-8:00) also. ROH has already sold a good amount of tickets for their show. The only factor I can tell you WILL play a role in making it hard to get NXT tickets is based on how many travel packages WWE sells. All the packages include tickets to NXT. If NXT holds 9,000 people at this arena then WWE would only need 2,250 groups of 4 to book a Mania travel package to sell it out without even releasing tickets to the public. Honestly, I'd still take the chance and not book a travel package and see what you can find on the secondary market if the show is sold out. Once again, you might pay $40 more on the NXT ticket but you'll still be saving more in the long run (Hotel costs is what kills you with the travel package) Raw tickets have always been a bit tougher. Raw after Mania 26 sold out quick but I was able to get lower level tickets for about $80. I've had the package the last two years so can't give too much of a recent update outside of the fact that I know lower level tickets were going for a bit over face value.

In what way does the hotel cost? Isn't it apart of the package. Doing some research the only extra cost I can possibly see with the hotel is parking which sounds like for most downtown hotels average around $24 a night. I'm seriously considering the silver package. If it was between 1,000 and 2,000 for two people I wouldn't even question getting it but the fact that the rumor is that it is exactly 3000 for two people just seems really steep. Do you really think there will be a secondary market for NXT if it is sold out by the packages? I really don't think I can risk missing NXT. This will most likely be the only Wrestlemania I can go to in quite a while because it is the closest city in years that is driving distance.(About 8 to 9 hour drive from Kansas City) One thing making me really lean towards the package is that I've heard WWE usually picks good hotels. The best I've been able to find is DoubleTree at a decent price and it isn't exactly downtown but it is about 2 miles which is quite a walk. It doesn't look like the greatest hotel but it has free parking and wifi and is only $740.20 for all four nights.

It doesn't look like the greatest hotel but it has free parking and wifi and is only $740.20 for all four nights. Here's the thing. I won't tell you NOT to get a travel package. I've done a travel package 3 times and enjoyed the experience each time, and they are highly convenient. There just seemed to be a lot of people who saw the travel package price and went "Nope. Can't do it." I just want to let people know that there are different options. The hotel is a part of the package, but they find a way to really increase the price for what you get. With two people, it won't be nearly as bad with the room they place you in. Sure, they give you a nice hotel (*** on low end) but they also provide you typically with either 1 queen bed or 2 double beds. If you have 4 people in a package, 2 double beds is extremely uncomfortable and cramped. Just to give you an idea. Here are the face value of the tickets I had last year though a gold package. I had four people in my group: Wrestlemania (Central Risers) - $454 each Hall of Fame (100 level) - $102 each Raw (100 level) - $77 each Axxess (General Admission 2 sessions) - $100 ($50 session) Transportation Voucher - $4 (really. It was a train ticket) Visa Food Card - $50 Total: $787 (not including NXT) per person. Package Cost Per Person: $1300 Travel Package Price (4) = $5,200 ($1300 x 4) Minus: Tickets Package (4) = $3,148 ($787 x 4) = $2,052 (remaining cost of package = Hotel costs for 4 nights) - $2052 divided by 4 nights = $513 PER NIGHT (~$128.25/night per person) for a room with 2 double beds, 4 nights. You can get a room elsewhere for 4 people for $150/night = $600. (I'd have to go back and find the silver package for 2 people number from last year and adjust for your specific situation, but figured here's at least a breakdown of what we paid last year just to give you an idea) EDIT: I found the price for the silver package (4 nights + Raw) for two people last year. The cost was $1300/each for two people. The only price change in tickets is with Wrestlemania itself as the rest of the travel package says 100 level for Raw/HOF. Wrestlemania (Central 100 level) = $254 Hall of Fame (100 level) = $102 Raw (100 level) = $77 Axxess (2 general admission tix) = $100 Transportation = $4 Visa Food Card = $50 Total: $587 Package cost per person = $1300 Travel Package Price ($1300x2) = $2600 Tickets ($587x2) = $1174. Hotel Costs ($2600 - $1174) = $1426 (divided by 4 nights) = $356.50 PER NIGHT = $178.25 per person per night. As for NXT that all depends. I'm sure there are some people who have bought ROH tickets and will be getting the package for NXT tickets and they'll have to decide which show to go to if they are at the same time. I don't know if WWE will also sell that many travel packages. It changes year-by-year.

I've already booked my accommodation through airbnb and flights are sorted too. That has come to a total cost of around £1000 each flying from England.
Could we keep this thread near the first page to share pre-sale codes and tips etc?

I'd be looking at about £550-650 (~$1,000) return flights with one change from Manchester (or maybe Leeds, which might be easier as that goes through Heathrow and then direct to Fort Worth), and I have found a few hotels at around that same price in downtown Dallas between the Raw/HoF venue and the Axxess/NXT venue, which would be ideal if I don't go the package route. I'd also look to spend more time in the city outside the Mania weekend, to enjoy it outside of wrestling geekdom, but that price would cover the hotel for the same dates as WWE are offering. This would very likely be the only WrestleMania I'd ever go to, so I might decide to go the package route despite the knowledge that Vince is profiteering more on them than necessary since it'll be a one-off, but I have still to do the figures properly this weekend to work-out just how much the difference would be. Also if I do take a package then I'd maybe need to work-out how the hell one gets a steel chair back from Texas to the north of England, but that would be an issue for another day

Just don't wait until you are leaving to do that, because that FedEx actually ran out of boxes by the next day.
