Also it's great how this storyline worked itself into a shoot. It got so worked up that it shot itself.

The storyline brought us RuRu, the thrown fish and My Hot Summer! That is glorious Wrestlecrap, but I'd argue it should make it immune to the Gooker. Besides, I want to see somebody sit down with the straight face and tell me that the Shera Shenanigans in TNA is less worthy of the Gooker than Rusev/Dolph/Lana/Hot Summer. Maybe that can be the new internet challenge of the week or something. Even if it's the Gooker, Shera shouldn't have any "award" given to him.

I'm really trying to figure out how we went from Dolph Ziggler being a huge babyface that took out the Authority at Survivor Series to an irrelevant tweener-type that was beat soundly by John Cena last night and was involved in one of the worst angles in modern time. There's short-term damage that folks can come back from - Dolph's had a lot of that. But this is the first real significant long-term damage done to his character. I don't know how he comes back from this one without going heel and just starting over.

I didn't think the E would truly have a TNA level Gooker this year, because TNA really piled on.
But alas, never doubt the E. They can make phenomenal stuff despite themselves...
And then there's stuff like this.

Oh, and Rusev surviving this angle is a testament to his ability. Good job to him.

For God sake WWE are these people supposed to be actors or not?
Either stick to making it as real as possible or create fiction and stick to that but stop flip-flopping between both!

I'm flipping a table if this angle doesn't win the Gooker.

They can just say being involved with Ziggler and his shenanigans reignited her hatred for this country. Without the distractions Rusev is refocused anwd build him up again.
We can hope anyway.

I'm flipping a table if this angle doesn't win the Gooker. TNA's 2015 is the undisputed winner. Outside the AWA or Herb Adams' UWF no promotion has go down in flames such as them.

This has been my least favorite angle of 2015. I'm glad it's over. And it looks like Dolph has moved on to Cena. Even though he lost to him last night, I think the feud is going to continue and Ziggler will be the one to take the belt off of Cena before his vacation. Maybe, we will have a more focused & dangerous Rusev come out of this crap and injure Cena, leading to him VS Ziggler for the US Title.

This angle had so much going wrong in it that it's not even funny. First, the entire thing was done so poorly that fans gravitated towards the monster villain instead of the hero rescuing the woman from the heel. The big problem from Day 1 here is that Lana as a character just isn't likable at all and in an attempt to make her likable WWE had to make up laughable stuff even a 7 year old could skewer (Rusev made her say awful anti American things, despite not espousing any pro Russian rhetoric after their breakup and going back to being billed from Bulgaria).
What I don't get is why change it up due to TMZ? Once they finally do the wedding on Raw they could have had Lana come out when the minister says "If anyone has just cause...." Then reveal their real life engagement.

Then reveal their real life engagement. Exactly! Finding out that the groom is already married to his ex on the night of the wedding is a storyline tailor made for a WWE wedding! Depending on how they wanted to swing it, they could either use it as a fix-it to get Lana and Rusev back together, or they could go the other way by playing up Rusev's misogyny, reveal that he was playing both women the whole time and have him claim that he's too much of a man for just one of them. I mean, I know the angle wasn't gold, but an actual conclusion would still be better than letting the whole thing fall flat on its face like this.

If last November you told me Rusev was NOT doing a dancing/comedy act and doing great but Lana and Ziggler were in the toilet, I would have looked at you like you were on crack.

Rusev being hilarious, and I'm sure plenty were pleased about brawls in skirts, but a lot of it just goes to show that kayfabe romance angles in wrestling are bad ideas most of the time. Spike and Molly was cute, and, uhhh, were any other ones good in the slightest? Macho Man and Elizabeth

I am saying kayfabed ones, where there wasn't a romance outside of the storyline.

I'm not mad at the fact the story ended because, Rusev turning shit into gold aside, it was bloody awful. I'm mad at how it ended with WWE acting like their fans are too stupid to separate fact and fiction.
