Not just the match results but the match formula.
Just look at tag matches. Tend to be 50-50, heel gains the upper hand, hot tag, finishing sequence, end.
Or regular borderline squash. Heel dominates, face jobber hits his comeback routine before getting taken out.
Then there's predictable break (someone gets tossed outside, commercial, tv returns with the face in a resthold and highlight of a big move which took place during the break).
They need to scrap the comeback routine and predictable match formula. I especially hate the babyface comeback sequence, Ortons hit the powerslam... what a shock, his opponents rolled to the outside so he's in position for the DDT.

They won't, though, because they like the crowd knowing what's coming next. They always have. Hence why the 5 Moves of Doom were ever a thing.

Being predictable isn't necessarily a bad thing. Predictability often comes about from rational and logical thought process, after all. But they definitely could afford to change up the formulas every now and then to have a reasonable amount of unpredictability to keep people enticed. They also need to find the sweet spot of booking feuds evenly without going straight-up alternating 50/50 like often seems to happen.
That said, you can't really go completely unpredictable because then you just end up with Russo.

A major match WILL NOT end until both participants use their finisher-the bigger the match, the more times they'll use it. It's bullshit

It's the main reason I stopped watching Raw live. Specifically because of the bigger 'matches' where neither guy could lose because they needed to be protected.
A while back Roman Reigns and Sheamus had the exact same match, two weeks in a row, with each going over 10 minutes. What was the finish to both of these matches? NOTHING! THEY BOTH JUST ENDED WITH NO RESULT BECAUSE NO ONE CAN LOSE! Even when people lose or win matches they just do it again the week after, so what's the point?
Raw just feels like a giant waste of time. They have the same matches every week, no matter who is in them, and there's no sign of change. I guess we're supposed to be giving most of our attention to the segments, but if that's the case I'd rather catch clips on youtube than watch the 3 hour show.

Why can't we have breaks just before and after the match? I hate to go on about yet another thing Lucha Underground does better than the WWE but it's crazy.

I have to give WWE credit. Last night, we only had 2 re-matches, Naomi VS Nikki & The Dudleys VS The Ascension. So, while it's predictable, we didn't get the same matches over again. And for the 1st time since Sept. 14 there was no 6-Man Tag Team Match.

Wrestling has always been predictable to an extent, so while I would love to blame WWE for this, I have to be fair. They didn't invent the "formula".

I would love to see a shakeup in the Tag formula. Watch the Southern Boys vs. Midnight Express from Great American Bash 1990. That was a great flowing tag match.

The same guys interact every single week. Why the hell would I want to see anymore Wyatts/Orton, Ambrose, Reigns matches?

There's nothing new or fresh anymore outside of The New Day. I love Rollins, hate his story line. And the Wyatt's, why they never actually showed this sister Abigail is beyond me. At this point they should have swerved everyone and made Bayley sister Abigail or some shit. ANYTHING to shake things up. I watch weekly because I hope that things will change or something big will happen, but I'm always disappointed.

He's either implied or stated Sister Abigail died, but it would be cool if he had a female follower, would definitely break up the sameyness of his followers.

If need be, just have the spirit of Sister Abigail possess someone. It wouldn't be the most ludicrous thing on a show where we have brothers with mystical lightning and fire summoning powers, a little people world in the same place where they keep the tables and a roster of extraordinarily talented athletes who are apparently shit because they can't win every single time and their boss yells at them.

I have no problem with them using some of the same formulas in matches but they need to switch it up every once in a while. Not every tag match was this way in the past, same for standard matches, some matches and hell most fights aren't the same. There's differences that need to be shown.

I guess depending on when she is to have passed on, she could always just be taken as her reborn, then you don't have to get quite as supernatural about it as with a possession. Just need a young diva, and WWE's got their share.
