If it's PG wouldn't the third hour be past the bedtime of most kids on a school night?

Really want to see a 3rd hour dip under 3 million. But if Kane in a lumberjack match can't do it, what can? Sheamus vs Orton in an Ironman match feat.special referee Kevin Nash will do It'd be worth watching just to see Big Kev smirking at the crowd reaction.

It's still astonishing to me that there's still 3 million people watching.
I don't care if it's the lowest in their history or has been declining for the past decade and a half.
That's still 3 million people watching wrestling on Monday night.

Kane and Seth Rollins contract signing. Then again, that would likely end with Seth Rollins getting pinned by the table. c'mon be real now. seth will get a paper cut turning to the page of the contract he's signing and have to tap out and be carried out via ambulance. And this of course sets up for an Ambulance Match between Seth Rollins VS Kane.

That's still 3 million people watching wrestling on Monday night. For 3 hours. While the show is repetitive, predictable, dull, and contrived. That's a good rating all things considered. A decline is never good, but imagine if Raw was 3 hours during the New Generation era? That's essentially what this is. A bastardized 1994-95.

I didn't watch this RAW. Sorry about bringing the ratings down like that. I like it. Beat WWE to the audience-blaming stage of accepting their low ratings.

I hear people say that cable as a whole is down. This maybe true, but why is "The Walking Dead", "Games of Thorns" and "Better Call Saul", getting the highest ratings in cable history? The Walking Dead is so popular that it is even beating Monday Night Football. Less people may have cable now-a-days, the number of people with cable will never be as high as it was during the peak years, however, people are still watching cable! WWE is getting bad ratings compared to what they used to have. It is still a top 20 cable show, but "Love and Hip Hop", "The Walking Dead", "Black Inc Crew" "Invincible Sister" "Horror Story: Hotel" and "The Talking Dead" are getting better ratings. "Monday Night Football", "MLB Playoffs" ,"Sports Center" and college football are also beating Raw. Cable is no longer a place for reruns and wrestling, it has grown to a serious threat to network TV.

It's as if seeing the same people have the same matches and cut the same promos every samey episode is driving viewers away for some strange reason.

No, no...see, Vince has finally realized that he DOES need competition, and with TNA being the only other game in town, he's racing to get his ratings down enough so that they can compete before TNA goes boom.

When you're going up against the Chicago Cubs AND the Pittsburgh Steelers, what did you expect? I don't think you can really blame this anymore, as the ratings were on a steady decline before football season even started, and it's very likely that they won't go up even when it ends. You absolutely can't blame it on 'stiff competition' anymore. You are right, I do believe Raw's ratings were in the shitter the week prior to Monday Night Football resuming. The product sucks and the viewers are responding. It has already been said throughout this thread multiple times, but the WWE deserves this and I hope it goes lower. The Seth Rollins era is a failure and the impending Sheamus reign isn't exactly inspiring hope. Simply put, Vince McMahon's time is over. Whatever 'genius' he supposedly had at one time is long gone.

It's finally happened. I just don't care. I haven't even bothered to DL Raw yet. I had time to watch Raw today and chose ROH All-star Extravaganza instead. I figure Smack down is shorter and will highlight anything I missed.
And as I've stated, I used to be a huge Raw apologist. But the past few weeks have been a chore, and this week I broke my no spoiler rule and decided there wasn't anything I needed to see, other than New Day, which I saw clips of on Youtube.
Back in 03, I started forgetting to set up a tape for Raw before work every now and then, and after a few months, I just didn't care. That led to not watching WWE for about 8 years. I don't want that to happen again. I'm sure it'll pick up eventually, I hope.

The sad thing is that I found the bulk of 1994-95 era WWF far superior to the current product. There were squashes and bad gimmicks but I'd say the workers on top were having great matches that at least meant something to the overall scheme of things, whereas now guys have some great matches and get nowhere as a result or even buried as a result. Diesel was a misfire as champion but at least he was booked semi competently, which is more than I can say for Rollins right now.

Impact's highest quarter-hour viewership ever was only about 100,000 less than Raw's third hour. If it falls any more I wouldn't be surprised if Dixie figures out a way to spin it to say that Impact's been as popular as Raw.

I think wwe would benefit in having seasons. This is clearly the part of the wrestling year they don't really push anything major. Instead of basically treading water why don't they just come back around TLC time

Instead of basically treading water why don't they just come back around TLC time I think that'd make it much worse. I have to imagine a significant chunk of their viewers watch strictly out of knowing it's a reliable way to kill some time on a Monday night, and if they had to find some other show to watch without it they might not come back.
