He should keep doing it. It usually is the only best match of the show each week. Like I said elsewhere on the board, I don't mind Ziggler losing. It can set up Cena saying that Ziggler gave him a hard fought match and he would love to face him again at Hell in A Cell. And there, they gave a big match, Dolph can kick out of a few AA's, break up a STF and finally win the title, letting Cena take his vacation.

For years its said the us title is worthless and needs defended more. It becomes a focal point and defended weekly. So why change that?

I'm talking the characters around it and how the bigger purpose should be to help the opponents be more then one week fodder as I explained in OP. The title is now peaking but never really get any idea of motivation why they want the title or continuation outside of silliness with Slater.

I usually enjoy the matches but they overdo things to a ridiculous degree. Kicking out of stuff left, right and centre. A top-rope ddt should be a finish! The thing is that this is what both WWE and the indies have conditioned people to believe a "good" match is. If Heath Slater finally gets his match with Cena and gets to kick out of a top rope DDT, it makes him look better. And instead of trying to recondition the fans and make moves mean more, this is furthering it to an absurd degree.

To me, the matches would be a lot more entertaining if WWE at least managed to give off the illusion that Cena's opponents stood a chance at winning the title.
Right now each match looks like WWE have no thoughts other than how they can make Cena look more invincible while letting his opponents "look good in defeat".
