It probably will be either a cat 1 or a tropical storm once it reaches Florida b/c it will probably lose strength over Cuba. This is of course if the projections hold up. Cuba will take the blunt of it

Hopefully whoevers in the way gets the hell out in time. yay another hurricane for fort misery, that make it 3 years in a row.... i weathered charley (cat4) and wilma (cat2?) at my house. it wasnt so bad, my house never took damage. luckily my house faces the south so only ever takes east or westerly gusts. power was out for two weeks after both storms. got a generator now, will run my computer and alot more, good thing cable internet is back up in hours lol

Well, to be fair to nature here, this is Hurricane season, and thus far this has been a VERY quiet Atlantic. This is the first Hurricane in the Atlantic this year and it's almost September.

Yeah, I know. But still, after being hit with 4 hurricanes in 2004 along with Dennis, Wilma, and Katrina in 2005 (she struck S. FL before affecting LA and MS), it's still too much.

Current models show it staying away from us, which is good. If New Orleans is hit again, that's all she wrote.
