There are already threads for individual episodes (and I have some catching up to do), but I thought I'd create one to appreciate and discuss the format.
I think it's a great idea, get some guys together and let us eavesdrop on them as they dine. I'm sure there are things they want to make sure they talk about, but a lot of it is spontaneous and genuine. The format lends itself to a lot of interesting little side notes that come out.
On the other hand, it doesn't encourage good table manners: too many of these neanderthals talk with their mouths full.
And a few questions:
Anyone know where this is filmed?
What have we seen as far as menu selections? Noticed Kofi managed to get a bowl of chowder with his meal.
Do they have soft drinks at this place? Alternatives to water?
What about appetisers and dessert? Maybe a bread basket? WWE wouldn't spring for the full dining experience.
I'm interested in your observations and thoughts.

Roddy had what looked like a soft drink. Ziggler had something yellow-ish. Was it Mountain Dew or something else?

It would be stupid if they just met up for 25 minutes for dinner and then went their seperate ways afterwards.

The last episode made me hungry. That chicken DDP was eating looked delicious.

They seem to be over quickly and end abruptly. They're great fun to watch though.

They should be an hour at least. You can't tell me these guys eat this stuff within 20.

Just watching the WCW one now. I'm 5 mins in and it's interesting but I can't get over the tablecloth. It looks like someone threw a king size bedsheet over a bar stool. It's all over the floor and the guys are stepping on the damn thing. Granted I don't eat out in 5 star restaurants, but that can't be the style... Call me anal, but it's really catching my eye and distracting me from the stories. {Spoiler}

I've liked most of the Table for Threes that I've seen. I do wish they were a little longer though. I feel like we don't get the best stories with such a limit on time.

A great idea...ripped off from Jon Favreau.
Still good stuff but let's not give WWE credit for actually coming up with something original anytime this decade.

No one is... the idea's older than Jon Favreau's father. True but they definitely just watched an episode of "Dinner For Five" and said "Hey let's do this...but with wrestlers". The presentation is what makes it unoriginal more than the idea itself.

I have the network for the ppvs, but this is the only show on it that I go out of my way to watch. I wait for a new 1 every week.
If they recorded the ric flair podcast, this would be it. Ric's podcast is just 2 people sitting around telling stories.

I wonder when these were filmed... The WCW one came out this week and has Vader and DDP wishing Sting well against Trips at Mania.

They filmed these WrestleMania weekend, I believe. The ones with active roster guys must be more recent, they've got Owens talking about facing Cena and the New Day getting over.
