NXT has no need for an NWO type group and what's more, the whole NWO angle existed on the basis that 'WCW' was a thing the wrestlers wanted to fight for or destroy, whereas it's implicit in and out of the narrative of NXT that everyone is fighting to leave.

NXT would need established heroes to counter the group. At the end of the day, everyone's goal is still to leave NXT for the main roster and there's not exactly any official "NXT guy" like Sting was to WCW Zayn would be that guy if he wasn't injured.

I could live to be 10,000 years old and I still don't think that would be enough time to say "no" enough to truly express how adamantly opposed to this idea I am.

Buy out TNA maybe. Couldn't be worse than the 2001 Invasion angle.

Only way to do a proper invasion/sabotage angle is if you book it as Vince trying to sabotage HHH's pet project as he doesn't want to give up the WWE just yet. So we'd have either face Vince and the legends/old guard against heel HHH and heel youngsters, which worked SO well in WCW, or heel Vince and crotchety current roster against super cool hero boss HHH and some young guys who he's picked himself because he's so smart and brilliant. And I think we've had enough McMahon drama angles for a lifetime.

1. NXT is the present and future, not the past. That's why it's called NXT, it's supposed to be like "Next" without a vowel, and using the traditional 3 letter name for a wrestling company.
2. They just don't need something like that. Raw could definitely use a good heel faction that isn't The Authority though.
3. Bullet Club could work though, even though they aren't really trying to "take over" a wrestling company so to speak. It's also comprised of the pretty much the best wrestlers not in WWE or Lucha Underground.
4. I know a 19 year old girl that is sort of my unofficial niece. She is completely obsessed with WWE and has been watching for like 10 years, and can tell you everything about the current roster. However, she has zero knowledge about the nWo, original ECW, or anything like that and doesn't give a shit about learning because it's not the wrestlers and era that she loves. So you run the risk of alienating a good chunk of the audience that aren't hardcore fans from 20 years ago.
5. I was watching the original nWo, and think it was one of the greatest things ever in wrestling. I don't want to see a watered down rehash. If I want to see the nWo I have the Network, DVDs, and documentaries for that.
So no thanks.

I think my favorite thing about NXT is that there aren't any major factions. The day NXT gets one I'm going to die a little.
