Why doesn't [insert wrestler name] work for [insert company]

Strolling through the boards recently, a lot of talk has come up about certain situations where certain wrestlers don't work for certain companies anymore. Example, I recently saw someone write about the Dan Maff incident in ROH which I know nothing about, or there's the Chris Hero/Saturyne/Mike Quackenbush situation which I have heard of.

What are some interesting stories we could discuss about why certain wrestlers don't work for certain companies?

Even though I'm not that huge of a fan anymore, Colt Cabana should be working for PWG. His comedy schtick would work with the Reseda crowd and he would also get over by interacting with the fans at the gimmick table.

I think he had a falling out with someone there. He actually brought this up to Excalibur on twitter, he wondered why he wasn't booked there anymore.

Considering PWG does typically 7 or 8 match shows, they need to be incredibly selective about who they put in those roster spots. Somebody doesn't have to have pissed someone off to get left off of shows where there's less than 20 guys appearing to begin with. Only so many guys can be featured on shows like that, and they've gotta go with a crew of the absolute best candidates to keep their buzz going strong.

Yeah but Colt's been gone for years, with his podcast he could help spread the buzz of PWG. Or who knows maybe he became too expensive to book by pwg and there are way cheaper guys with a faster pages style.

Probably Door Two. I think PWG has moved in more of a SPOTS-SPOTS-SPOTSSPOTS-SPO-SPOTS (EVERYBODAY!) direction, and Colt's too slow in-ring to accommodate. Not that he's bad, it's just a style mismatch.

Speaking of Colt I've always wondered why he was never a permanent figure in Chikara. He fits in very well there and is still good friends with Quack (it would seem, as he was a guest on the podcast within the past year). I know Colt is in high demand and had a full schedule but he wrestles for much smaller companies where his style fits in less so it seems a bit confusing to me...

Maybe the frogs and boars that work there are way cheaper than Colt. Hell I think the bulk of that talent is the Chikara students.

Another one that I think would've been a good heel for CZW, is Johnny Gargano, he could've been a huge heel there because of his goody two shoes persona.

Also, why Eddie Kingston didn't have a longer run in ROH is something I'll never know. His initial run against Hero and his time in Outlaw Inc. wasn't too bad from what I remember.

Back in the day, Homicide released a statement saying that he would never appear for any company that would book Dan Maff, he called him a pedophile, allegedly Maff sleeped with an underage family member of Homicide, it has never been confirmed. Maff got blackballed from wrestling, but some years ago they buried the hatchet.

Regarding Hero and Saturyne, I don't know about it, but Hero did have an incident in Chikara that he sent inappropriate text messages to Shane Storm, he also chose Japan over Chikara, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know if this rumor was proven or not, but allegedly Quackenbush slept with Saturyne of something.

Speaking of Saturyne I don't know why she's never worked for Shimmer whether it's money (like Shanna) or her simply not wanting to (like the Blossom Twins). Now that Havoc, Hatred and LeRae have all appeared she's the biggest name in the US indies that hasn't worked for them. I don't know why she ever took the mask off, that was such a cool look.

The Chris Hero situation actually has nothing to do with Saturyne, actually. The story goes that Chris Hero was fooling around with Shane Storm's girlfriend, or at least flirting very heavily. I think Hero's made mention of it in shoots, and said that yeah, it was his f*** up.

The Hero/CHIKARA issues are partially for Hero sleeping with another wrestler's girl and Hero calling Quack out cause Quack has a rep of doing it too. Hero also asked Quack for a raise because he was doing so much and Quack wanted him to focus on CHIKARA. Quack then offered Hero one dollar more than he had made.

I don't know if Saturyne and Quack actually slept together, but SOMETHING did happen has she doesn't want to mention the character anymore.

Gargano funny enough has had discussions with CZW but his schedule just never matches up with what CZW runs.

As for Eddie Kingston like someone asked, he's his own worst enemy. Always burns bridges... and with ROH recently supposedly he showed up for a match high as hell

I think the major reason for saturyne departure from chikara was the company "shutdown". During this time she probably think that would be better for her to join womens only promotions like WSU
