I guess now begins Cena's vacation. Bummer. I was hoping for an injury angle (using the Wyatts and maybe converted Taker?) to send off John for the time being.

My guess is similar to what Dave Meltzer was hinting at - when babyfaces left territories, they did a quick, non-descript job in the hope that people would forget about it down the line. That's a bit like what Cena did last night.

It's probably leading towards the obvious (Rollins), but I am interested in what Reigns/Ambrose are going to get up to after that small segment last night. Going to hazard a guess that we're going to see the origins of a Rollins/Reigns/Ambrose triple threat at Mania. I'm guessing they go ahead with Reigns / Rollins at Survivor Series and Ambrose gets sidetracked feuding with Kane.

Odd that Cena is kinda sort of exempt from being written out of angles by kayfabe injuries (excepting the Jesus stabbing angle from nearly a decade ago).

Reigns/Rollins will surely be a go, no issue with that. Ambrose is supposedly a top babyface again with Cena/Orton out so he's gonna have a high-profile match, I just wonder what it'll be. Who else is a major heel? Maybe Ambrose will be the guy rallying to help Taker. Maybe Ambrose will start his Triple H feud.

I imagine an angle where the Wyatts attack Ambrose, probably helping to reel him into the Taker/Wyatts story.

Cena's not around. Problem is, most of the others are still here.

Roman's time is now. I guess he'll win the belt at Survivor Series to start his "I'm gonna surpass Punk's reign" tour.

I'd actually be pretty happy with a Reigns championship run.

I'm half convinced they are aiming to have Rolins do that Last I read they wanted Reigns to be the one to do is and all these reports say they want Reigns winning at WM32 for a "grand coronation". Personally, I don't think they can hold off on Reigns that long so I wouldn't be surprised if Rollins lost at Survivor Series.

I definitely think Survivor Series is the time to give Roman the belt. Dragging it out to Mania is just entirely pointless (seriously, what purpose would this serve? At all? It's not like it'd cement his star status or anything, very few of their main-eventers over the years have won their first title there) and gives time to build resentment, it'd be a nice shake-up, and we haven't had a decent face title run in a long, long time.
Though I can't see him having the belt for very long after winning it. Even without the Sheamus thing, him, Rollins, Ambrose, Lesnar, and Cena are really the only viable challengers Reigns has.

No drunk asshole ran over a utility pole today. So my power's back on. That means I'll be joining you all the with my usual snark and asinine comments that you've always all come to know and feel indifferent towards.

Winners from last night will be in the tournament - it'll be eight men, with a four-way final. So it looks like it'll be Cesaro, Neville, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Roman Reigns, Big E, Kofi Kingston and Kevin Owens entering.

But yeah, nobody but Reigns and maaaaaybe Alberto stands a snowball's chance in hell of winning that. Would say possibly Ziggler under other circumstances but he just started this Breeze thing.
