I think so, sure. If only for having to go back to TNA that one time.

It was so weird how he just kind of disappeared and they didn't give him any kind of send-off. I was never a huge fan of his but he deserved a better end to his career than that. Was a huge fan and he deserves a sendoff segment similar to Edge announcing his retirement on RAW 8 days after WM27

Wasn't there a report of fans meeting Christian at concert and him saying that WWE's retirement announcement was not true?
What's interesting about his profile being moved is that it signifies him no longer being under contract to WWE.

What was Christian's last match to date anyway?

I don't even remember the last in-ring thing he did. My last memory of Christian wrestling was him vs Punk during the Jericho feud where Punk just obliterated him.

What was Christian's last match to date anyway? On TV at least it was winning a Fatal Four Way over ADR, Sheamus and Ziggler. I think it might have been IC or US number one contenders match as well. March 24, 2014 EDIT: Yep, number one contender match for the IC Title. His contract is up soon (if not already) so the ones wanting one more match will probably get it from the way he's talked.

Yeah, he's only one half of one of the most popular tag teams in WWF/E history, is very popular with fans, and is a former Light Heavyweight, European, Hardcore, Intercontinental, ECW, and World Heavyweight champion. What's he ever done to get in the Hall of Fame?

If they don't do a storyline in like 5 years where Christian jumps the IC champion and demands his damn title match, what a missed opportunity.

What's he ever done to get in the Hall of Fame? You could have just said he existed. Not like the WWEHOF has any real criteria outside of that.

But for some reason, people always have some reasoning for why lifetime midcarders don't deserve to be in the HOF despite being beloved characters. If people want to pull the kayfabe accomplishment excuse, Christian STILL qualifies.

Even ignoring the goofy WWE HOF, he genuinely has had a HOF career.
He competed in some of the most influential ladder matches in history, he's won a f***load of titles (including two world title runs, even if one only lasted 2 days), he was the first "big" name to jump ship to TNA (and had a pretty tremendous run over there), he's done it all except for being the tippy top guy in WWE. And that really shouldn't be the benchmark of whether or not you're a Hall of Famer.

Shit, I am far from a fan of Christian but no matter how you slice it, he deserves the honor of being in any wrestling HOF, IMO. You don't get those accomplishments by existing, that is years of busting your ass and getting over with the fans like very few ever will.

I'd be fascinated to hear why you think Christian entering the Hall of Fame is such a hilarious idea? Because Vince will never let an acknowledged slave owner into The HOF, the shareholders would not stand for it.

There's retired and then there's retired from WWE. It's obvious WWE made the decision long ago that Christian would never wrestle for them again because of his multiple concussions. So he sat at home and collected his downside.
The reason he didn't get some big send off is probably because Christian thinks he still has matches left in him. He might end up working for GFW or travel to Japan. Then again, now that his talent contract has expired, WWE might offer him some sort of legends contract or an NXT gig.
As for the HoF, they could induct him next year but I don't think there's a rush and it might be better if they wait for Mania to return to Toronto. Otherwise he won't even be the co-headliner for the 2016 class as that spot will probably go to JBL or Owen Hart.

Yeah I'm not too bummed out he's retired. If he got injured, then good on him for getting out before it got worse. Also, it's not like the E knew what to do with him most times.
What I'm bummed out about is how he just faded into the sunset without getting the chance to announce it in front of an audience and getting a thank you ovation from a live crowd. He was a big enough performer to deserve it. Maybe they thought he wouldn't get enough of a reaction, but I'm pretty sure he would.
Either way, I hope he sticks around in some capacity. Hopefully we'll see him as an on-screen character in future, possibly in commentary or something.
