Sad to read he'll no longer be competing, but what a great career! His Hall of Fame speech should be great. Hope he's still involved with the product in some capacity as a color commentator or something.

That picture looks like a wrestlers purgatory.
Not bad enough to be hell, but surely not good enough to be heaven. Very meh

I figured he was already, dude clearly hasn't been on the active roster for a long time now.
It sucks that his career ended due to injury, but sad to say, that's part of being a pro wrestler. It happens. At least he is still healthy enough for every day life, and probably has enough money to be set for a good long while. He also had a career that he should have no regrets about. Personally I always liked him, but I never thought he'd be the least bit successful as a solo star. He had a stellar career, and now his legacy extends far beyond E & C.
It's okay, not every wrestler needs to be on the active roster forever. If he had still been around all this time, a bunch of us would probably be complaining about him being one of the many Attitude guys hogging up TV time. Like any good entertainer, he left us wanting more before we got sick of him.

I couldn't believe it when Deuce and Domino turned on Cherry. Cherry's legacy was desecrated! Desecrated by her boyfriend and her own brother!

Didn't commentary randomly announce "Oh, by the way, Christian's retired" during the night that E&C hosted Raw last year? Without letting him make the announcement himself and I think without even consulting him first?
I seem to remember someone asking him about it and his response was something along the lines of "Uh... well... I guess I'm retired?" I know he had the concussion concerns so it was probably for the best if that's the case, I just thought it was very strange the way they handled the announcement.

sad day as a fan. For Christian he seems satisfied and said he has no regrets. Super lame they didn't even let him announce it himself. Maybe they can't as it's concussion related and want to avoid headlines about that?

I regard Christian as one of the biggest over-achievers in the history of the company.
It could have been so easy for him to become another Marty Jannetty in the shadow of Edge's rise to the top. But despite the fact that WWE management never truly seemed to be convinced by him, not having the conventional size or the look to make it, Christian somehow managed to (albeit briefly) fight his way to the top.
Bravo sir on a Hall of fame career.

Glad he did without having any major signs like when Edge noticed losing some feeling in his arms the weeks before Mania

It was so weird how he just kind of disappeared and they didn't give him any kind of send-off. I was never a huge fan of his but he deserved a better end to his career than that.
