Obviously with the chant, the comparison can't be helped. But am I the only one who watches what Gable does in the match and think: That's what Kurt Angle should've done in the beginning and gotten over early. So that he'd have something to fall back on and not cripple himself with endless bumping.

I really enjoyed this week's show. Can't argue with two high quality matches!
Still not sold on Nia Jax. Better gear, but her couple matches have zero flow still. She'll be a longer term project for sure.

Right, also, like Gable, early Kurt Angle was a dorky Olympian. Do you guys remember his abstinence rally? It's just that Kurt also never knew when to stop pushing himself too hard.

That was one of the most enjoyable tag matches I've seen in a long time, probably since The Shield were still together. Yes it had the face shine in the middle (seemingly all tag team matches that aren't in Mexico have to now) but it was absolutely minimal, balanced by the start and end of the match just having amazing chain wrestling and actual psychology. I still think Tommaso whatever and Gargano need actual personalities, because at the moment they're still just 'dudes who wrestle.' But BOY can they wrestle. Gable and Jordan on the other hand? Man I am sat here wearing an Enzo and Cass t-shirt as I type this, but I think Gable and Jordan are actually my favourite tag team in the company. Have they got any merch yet??? Gable just gets it. Saying 'thankyou' when swapping with Jordan, the chain wrestling, those two are money. And Jordan is coming along in leaps and bounds too, I was a bit worried it was going to be a one-man team at this rate but Jordan has the fans behind him too - it's just more like 70% Gable and 30% Jordan, which is way better a ratio than I thought it was. Yeah I'm glad they're giving Jordan some love too. They really compliment each other well. I'm really hoping that Tomasso gets signed and they carry on with his Sicilian Psychopath character that he had in ROH. I see shades of Stone Cold in his work when he's playing the ruthless brawler type. I first saw Jordan when he was feuding with Tye Dillinger, and I knew he had something, this team is really bringing it out of him, when Gable plays Ricky Morton, I'm not sure there's anyone better right now than Jason Jordan at getting the hot tag, selling that he's wanted this for SOOOO long and coming in as a house of fire, the energy and intensity he has in that role is unreal.

All this comparing Gable to Angle.... Angle was over 6 foot tall and about 30 pounds heavier y'know. Even in this "smaller" wwe, that still matters. Gable looks tiny compared to the bigger guys, but I guess that could play to his benefit. He can still do some impressive moves on the guys, and he could get the underdog rub.

One size obsessed and irresolute person.

Kurt is barely 6ft., if that. With Gable's legit background and charisma, Vince will love him, smaller dude or not.

Thing is that people didn't really see Angle as a smaller guy even with WWE being Hoss crazy in those days. Angle was small, but was still jacked enough to satisfy Vince's muscleman fetish. Vince looks at Gable and he just sees a smaller guy, who doesn't even have the big time reputation that the "Indy darlings" have to convince him otherwise.

There's something weirdly sexual about Emma's half-gloves. Probably just my weird shit though. Either way, Shasta McAussie was annoying, and I was glad to see Emma whoop her ass. That Muta Lock looked absolutely brutal too.
Rich calling himself Milhouse was a good touch, he has a very genuine-yet-professional demeanor. If/when Cole ever steps down, I think Rich should be next in line.
Really liked Gable walking in circles to the beat of the chants, subtly encouraging them. Dude already looks like a high-level pro in there, what a natural. Good to hear Jordan getting some love too, with his name getting included in the Angle song chants. I could go all day on this match, just fantastic stuff. An interesting thing is the two homegrown guys getting cheered over the indy standouts (who were also appreciated, don't get me wrong), goes to show that it's not just fans having an ego about indie cred, it's about who is the most entertaining. Grand Amplitude gets the win!
Kaylee Ray's broke ass Macklemore theme was kind of funny. Nia's new outfit looks a little more threatening and less GLOW. Can't get much of a reed on Nia yet, she's obviously a project but for someone getting the hype videos etc, expected someone further along. That spinebuster literally looked like it could kill someone, which is a good thing in the hands of someone more experienced but with someone green, makes me cringe. Kind of like Ryback when he first got on TV, she might need to know her strength and dial it back a bit.
Dawson N' Dash are some vicious old-school heels. Usually these beatdowns are doing movez and standing tall, this was a believable attempt at taking a guy out for good. Great selling from Big Cass as well.
I never, ever fast forward things. But I fast forwarded Apollo's video package. So far, so boring, at least outside of in-ring action. It was super long too, at least 5 minutes.
Knowing Tyler is done with NXT, was interested to see if Joe would beat the holy hell out of Breeze to the point of a write-out. Also interested to see if the crowds are against Joe since they love Breezy so much, split crowd to start. Joe looks in better shape every week, he's always going to have some fat in his chest (what's a brother gonna do, he's Samoan) but he looks like a killing machine right now. When the roles of the match reversed, I was impressed with Breeze's heel-style offense and Joe's believable selling for a small-ish guy. One of my favorite Joe finishes with the O'Connor Roll NOPE Coquina Clutch. Solid match, nothing out of this world but two strong personalities and styles doing what they do and executing well, very enjoyable.
Finn Balor said some words, and that's it.
Very good show, cant ask for much more out of an hour of wrestling.

Underrated awesomeness : Dana and Evil Emma's punctuated dance poses during the synth triplet part of Evil Emma's theme song.

I'll be honest I only notice Gable's height during his entrance the minute he starts going dude legitimately looks like a world beater.
