Worst Part of Your Favorite Movie

We all have favorite movies (Well, at least those who watch movies. People without TVs or Movie theaters probably don't...but I am rambling) which are just the complete package in what we want to watch in a film.

However, despite how great a film is, there has to be one part that isn't as great as the rest. The worst part of your favorite movie (To quote the thread's subject).

In example, I would have to say my favorite film is Jaws, just completely engrossing and entertaining.

Yet, near the end, where Roy Schneider's character throws the "air tank" into the shark's mouth, I lost some realism. Watching it I realized, "If that thing was full, it wouldn't be floating." Then they showed Jaws chewing on it with seemingly cardboard teeth.

Still the ending was a great visual, so I can overlook that, but I would pick that part as the worst of the film.

My favorite movie is Lost In Translation. The thing I would change is a part where Bill Murray character is on a Japanese talk show. They showed a little of it, but there was so much more that they filmed that I wish the would of showed. At least it was a special feature on the DVD.

My favorite movie is the Big Lebowski, but I can't think of any part that felt in any way not great.

My favorite movie right now (It changes a lot because I'm fickle) is Silence of the Lambs. The only issue I can raise is that it probably would have been nice to have a scene to better introduce Ardelia. In the finalized film we get the basic idea that she's Clarice's pal and fellow FBI trainee, but you get nothing else. That said, I still think the character is written very well for what is provided (she is, after all, in only a handful of scenes and even then she exists mostly as a sounding board for Clarice), and an intro scene is not necessary; it would just be a nice addition to an already magnificent film.

The Jackie Treehorn scene drags slightly, but it's immediately redeemed by the sherriff's office confrontation. "Stay outta Malibu, Lebowski! Stay outta Malibu, deadbeat!!!"


I could've done without Kirsten Dunst in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not her character, her herself. I find her to be a very annoying screen presence and totally jarring when put into a surreal and serene film like that.

I just re-watched The Madness of King George the other night, and the scene where they blister his back to "draw the ill humours out of His Majesty" is really hard to watch--I fast forward.

Oddly enough, I mark big time for The Princess Bride. There really isn't any bad parts, though some parts are much better than others.

The worst part is when it's over. Seriously it is too good to have bad parts.

One of my favorites, and I too don't understand, I guess, he made himself believe that he was going to shoot himself in his head, which (SPOILER) made the other part of his mind, Pitt believe it too.


Also Boondock Saints didn't have much wrong with it, except they could have explained Il Duce being the father a little better.

the very beganing of Transformers the movie where Unicron eats that one planet where kranix is from is not all that bad but i always skip past that seen and the opening credits.

When Connor and Murphy are reciting the family prayer for Rocco after his death, Il Duce comes in and finishes it. Since it's a family prayer, the only obvious conclusion is that he's their father. How hard is it to draw that conclusion?

For me, the worst part of the movie is Willem Dafoe in drag. Geez, he's an ugly woman.
