So, I revisited the Wrestlemania X8 DVD the other night, and there's five clips from the WWF.com Byte This interview with Vince McMahon. He really doesn't look like any media incarnation of Vince's we've gotten this century. If the Bob Costas interview was the Mr. McMahon character in the real world, this one has to be what 80s/90s announcer Vince would have been.
He's so relaxed, comfortable in the fact he's vanquished his competition and has an amazing fool-proof event right around the corner. It's super interesting because by relaxed, I don't mean lazy or lounging, but rather just particularly at peace and a relative calm with the world. And at this particular juncture, before Shawn and Bret's return to the company, after the WCW buy-out, a year after XFL and before the brand-split, he just seems so regular content guy-ish.
Anyone else seen this/revisited it recently?
While we're on the subject, with it now being a buyers market for physical WWE releases, what are some of your favorite extras?

There is either an easter egg or an extra on Eddie Guerrero Cheating Death Stealing Life DVD where Hector Guerrero talks about being the Gooker.

The Buddy Rose Blow Away Diet commercial on the Shawn Michaels: From The Vault DVD. It makes no sense to have that on there, and is completely out of place. Granted its an easter egg, but its still weird.

I can't remember which DVD it was on, but there was an extra backstage segment featuring RVD and Tatanka talking about smoking a peace pipe. That one always stuck with me.

Tatanka was a surprise entry and it was Van Dam's return from a knee injury that kept him out nearly all of 2005.

WrestleMania 15 DVD had Austin and Rock commentating their match with JR. The alternate commentary on the Rise and Fall of ECW dvd is interesting. Because Taz calling his Living Dangerously '98 match against Bam Bam Bigelow with Michael Cole is pretty kayfabed. Tommy Dreamer and Michael Cole calling Dreamer's match against Raven from WrestlePalooza '97 is basically the wrestling equivalent of a director's commentary on a feature film's DVD. Rob Van Dam calling his match against Jerry Lynn from Hardcore Heaven '99 with Michael Cole is somewhere in between.

Rock and Austin are in kayfabe the whole time but it's great.

I NEED A COCKTAIL OR SOMETHIN' CAUSE I AIN'T GONNA WATCH THIS CRAP SOBER! Far, far more entertaining than the effort he's given recently.

Oh man, Foley and Kelly's commentary on that DVD is incredible. They call the match like it's a Flair/Steamboat 5 star classic, and it's absolutely hysterical.

Ric Flair vs. Sting from GAB 1990 on the GAB 2005 DVD. I guess WWE knew that the show sucked, so they put in that match to make up for how bad the main feature was.
