The average is only down about 75,000 from last week, which is basically nothing.
The test is next week, when we already know what they've done in regards to Rollins.

The average is only down about 75,000 from last week, which is basically nothing. I hate to disagree, but losing 600,000 viewers from the start of the show to the end, culminating in less than 3 million viewers after 10 PM is more than nothing. It's a new viewership low for non-Christmas 3-hour RAWs and no non-Christmas 3-hour RAW has ever had an hour average less than 3 million viewers, either.

True, but the absolute worst thing they can do is panic and throw the blank cheque at someone for a quick ratings pop. The future isn't going to be built in one week. Hell, it took at least a year of solid, consistent TV built around the rise of Steve Austin in 1997, plus a hell of a lot of luck with the signing of Mike Tyson for a WrestleMania angle and the intrigue around the Montreal Screwjob, for it to pay ratings dividends in 1998.

Don't forget it was taped too. You only have to look at the RAW thread to see how many read spoilers and just don't bother with the show. It's almost half as many pages as normal.

A Brothers of Destruction reunion leads to a significant ratings drop? That's with spoilers too so it's likely many people knew it happened but didn't care.
That's sad to hear when we're supposed to be in the midst of a 25 years of The Undertaker celebration.
Plus in theory it's the sort of thing they'd do to get higher ratings.

I didn't think it'd get good ratings because taped shows rarely do. If spoilers weren't available, the drop wouldn't have been as steep. They've been doing better booking wise the last few weeks, if they stay the course they should do fine.

Alvarez went on tangent about a week ago saying there's no difference in ratings when a show is live or taped. Honestly I pretty much checked out after big show v. Reigns. You start us off with this? Up yours, Vince.

On the other hand, it is a taped show, you know what is going to happen and when so you don't tune in until the last ten minutes or so or just wait to find it online.

Expect John Cena to get called back early. Or perhaps Bork gets involved with the title again.

It's not true that ratings are always down for taped Raw shows btw, though I agree they should stay the course.

Expected a new record low this week. Between recent trends and it being taped, don't see much reason to suspect otherwise.
Next week and especially the night after Survivor Series will probably be more telling.
