Whenever I get the chance to attend a Wrestlemania or PPV-level show, as I did in Atlanta, I like to see what kind of merch is being worn to get an idea of who's really moving the needle with the money-spending fan base (do this to a lesser degree at Raw/SD/House shows, but you get people coming from a wider geographic area -- worldwide for WM -- and a bigger crowd at these bigger shows, so a better polling sample so to speak).
Here's a few notes on what I noticed at SS:
* Looked at three merch kiosks and they were displaying Roman, Ambrose, Keivn Owens, some SS and Undertaker shirts, as well as Wyatt sheep masks (black and white). Some other stuff, but these were the main ones that had multiple items. Interestingly, little Cena stuff out -- I realize he wasn't on the show, but it's still surprising to me.
* The shirts (and other merch) people were wearing was heavy Kevin Owens and Ambrose, with Roman not far behind. Quite a few people had Wyatt masks, especially black sheep.
* Saw exactly one person wearing a Hulkamania shirt. Which was one more than I expected.
* Actually saw four or five different people with Hot Rod shirts. Roddy would be proud. Also a few Ultimate Warriors and Macho Man-clad fans.
* Several nWo, best wrestling shirt EVER.
* Only one CM Punk shirt that i noticed, and only two Bryan shirts. The times they are a'changin.
* Maybe two or three Seth Rollins-clad people came across my path.
* A few kids in Cena gear, maybe one or two adults. Not as much as usual.
* I wore my ROH hoodie and Mr. ROH tee underneath.
Note: It was really cold outside and a lot of people had their jackets still buttoned up inside, so couldn't tell what a lot of people were wearing.
