Are the Dudley's forgotten already?

It was three months ago tomorrow that the Dudley's made their big return, and it seems they've dropped off the radar already, being relegated to the pre-show match. Their feud with the New Day is over, which they lost, and now they seem to have joined the ranks of the thousand other guys with no purpose.

So is that it?

Next PPV's TLC, I'm sure they'll find their way onto that show given tables matches are their thing.

Outside of that, basically. They've largely had bad matches, the crowd quickly stopped caring about them, and now that the Usos are back WWE'd probably sooner just give them the belts again.

I think the problem is that people only care about the Dudley's when they're putting people through tables, so they HAVE to do the crowd pop "get the tables" bit even when it's a standard match, so you have Devon getting the tables like a complete f***ing fool when it would just lead to an instant DQ.

I'm baffled why the New Day feud which was centered around tables didn't end with a tables match. Can't see it happening at TLC since New Day are feuding with the Dullsos. Unless they make it a triple threat tables and toss the Dudleys in there.

They were mainly here to give The New Day something to do while the Usos got back into ring shape. Now they're glorified enhancement talent. I'm sure they'll get another feud and maybe a thank you run (or two), but unlikely they'll ever be a proper focus of the tag division again.

This is a prime example of a team that they could sign but have them be used sporadically. But they were shoved down our throats for the sake of nostalgia and they're opening on the Network pre-show.

I think it's more because they're really the only heel team of consequence. Face ones you at least still have the Usos and Lucha Dragons to fall back on as challengers, but whenever a team does beat New Day... What? Call up Blake and Murphy? Barrett and Sheamus are out for the time being so short of turning somebody or pretending the Ascension's a threat you're basically out of options besides that.

They got a nice nostaligia pop. They'll show up from time to time to get the crowd up for a tables spot. They'll (hopefully) put over some teams here and there now, which should be their position on the card.

They weren't brought back to be a long-running thing -- you can spray "new car" smell in your old car, but that wears off pretty quickly and you've just got that same old car again.
