I keep seeing Goldust and just thinking, "So... When is he going to retire?" Like, I genuinely don't understand why he's not just settled into a trainer job. He can still go, sure, but his career's basically functionally over, pretty sure he's been in the trainer role before, and I don't see what he really has to contribute.
Plus him hanging around draws all the more attention to how Stardust is just a bad ripoff of him.

Goldust will always be awesome.

The watered down Goldust character is still a million times better than Stardust.

I see Goldust as the perfect way to use old vets that can still go in short spurts. He doesn't squash younger talent. He's not eating up tons of screen time week after week. He's not a worthless jobber. He's out there working crowds, getting some nostalgia pops WHILE making guys look good and not hogging the spotlight.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as Dustin can still go, he's more than welcome on the active roster. With the number of people out injured right now, having a guy like him around in the midcard can only be a good thing.

Guessing he is replacing Cesaro in the Cesaro/Stardust feud.

Maybe he's back to slay Stardust and bring Cody back.

Of course he's back. Clearly what we need are more 90's guys around.

The nice part is that because of the body suit and paint you really can't tell how old he is. He gets the nostalgia pops from long time fans but newer fans can look at him and not be able to tell that he's older because it's tough to judge his age based on just looking at him.
He fits the veteran that can still go mold while also being somewhat fresh for the newer fans. Basically he's like Taker but doesn't look old as dirt because of the makeup and body suit.

I'd feel the same way if he were THE vet instead of one of a dozen. Unlike a lot of veterans his name won't be thrown about how good he is and pay attention to him. He's a "team player" and recognizable name that is valuable right now when you got a lot of injuries. He won't still spotlight but instead do his part to keep the show moving.

He's legitimately one of my all time favorite wrestlers, easily top 10, and he only gets better. I'm more than fine with having him around.

The title sounds like the same line Michael Cole would use.
