If I am correct, this was suppose to be the end of the Bryan 2014 run with Lesnar taking the title and holding onto it?
How awesome would this match have been? Or would it simply be unbelieveable? Both of them were riding high after Wrestlemania XXX so it was natural they were going to meet. Would anyone be mad if Bryan's run ended to Lesnar?
Lastly, is there still interest in this match? Say Bryan has one more match at Wrestlemania 32. Is the crowd divided or can this be Austin vs. Rock X7 like and possibly draw 100,000?
I think this match was and still can be all kinds of awesome if it happened, only problem is, if it's Bryan's last match does he get a win or loss?

If it was allowed to be competitive, I think it would be a great match. But all signs point to the planned Summerslam encounter going basically like the one that we got went; Bryan would have been about as thoroughly wrecked as Brock was.

Two of the absolute best to ever grace the medium? Of course it would be stellar.

Pretty sure Bryan was the one who was supposed to be squashed at Summerslam.
The reaction on the IWC would've been hilarious.
These two in a competitive match like Lesnar had with Punk would've been a five star classic.

The Summerslam 2014 match was perfect, since we hadn't seen a Cena match like that. If Bryan goes against Brock I'd like a back and forth and really close match.
Anyway, hell yeah sign me up.

It probably would have been Bryan getting squashed the same way Cena actually did, unfortunately. The other difference would be that instead the cathartic joy of seeing Cena being made to look like a complete and utter bitch, it'd be wall-to-wall "OMG THEY BURIED BRYAN".

You know that will be the reaction. Even when Bryan lost close matches due to outright cheating and odds stacking, the cries of burial rang out. Brock may beloved by most but he is not immune to the backlash if he squashed Bryan like he did to Cena.

Someone would almost certainly claim "THEY TOLD LESNAR TO SHOOT ON BRYAN AND INJURE HIM ON PURPOSE BECAUSE THEY HATE HIM" the same way some people did when Bryan got put out with concussion earlier this year by saying Sheamus was claiming a bounty.

Bryan/Lesnar will probably happen at one point given Bryans health is okay.
And it will be GOAT

Though yes, the reactions would have made it better.

I think Cena getting squashed told a better story and established God-King Lesnar much better than squashing Bryan would have, regardless of the potential schadenfreude of seeing fans react. If they were allowed a competitive match I would have rather seen that, though.

Hmm, little guy fed to the unstoppable hoss (because god forbid the hoss actually loses-that would destroy his credibility). Oh boy, how many suplexes could Danielson take while getting in ineffectual offense before suffering the F5? How often would Heyman bray about 'Brock Lesnar defeated your favored son at (PPV)'?

It would have gotten Lesner real heel heat and would have helped Reigns in the run up to mania. I think Rollins would screw Bryan in the rumble match and they would face off at mania.
Can't really get too upset about the hypothetical opinions of strangers in an alternative timeline as some appear to do on here though.

It was clearly set up for Brock to squash Bryan to get maximal heat after wrecking Taker at Mania and he would go on a wrecking spree until Roman stopped him at Mania. The problem is that the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Just showed how out of touch that they were.
