If this feud had happened, and Steiner had adapted his BPP monicker at the time, the promos would have been golden. Imagine the "Big Poppa express" cruising down the highways and byways of America.
"Ya knowwww, when aye pulled up into redneck Georgia, and looked 'round at alllll the white trash, I had an epiphany. You see, Malcolm x once said all men aren't created equal, and not all men can be the man wit da largest arms in da world, and when aye rollllll into Dee-troit, amma have the sport of all the rednecks and white trash of merika behind me as I slam Yokozunas faaaaat ass and become the next heavyweight championship of the world!"

He would have crushed it as the Luger type.
He's wrestled a lot more countries than Luger or Yokozuna had.

I can't imagine it having worked for him at the time. The 1998 singles run came at the right time. Kind of like Bret not breaking out of the tag team mold until the third attempted singles run (he had 1988, 1989, 1991). If Scott had done the bodyslam, I can only see a Summerslam match before somehow Yokozuna moving on to Tatanka (if no Borga) before settling on Undertaker.

It would have sucked. The matches would have been better than Luger's, however, Steiner is in the same boat as Nash, his kind of charisma is not the kind that Vince knows how to handle. Steiner would be smiling, slapping hands and blander than a vaseline on whitebread sandwich, only without Rick by his side. And the same could be said for Luger, who always had that tweener edge about him that Vince didn't know what to do with. He was just as lost with the Road Warriors and Ric Flair. None of the aforementioned names had career defining runs in WWF. In fact, each of their WWF runs were periods of decline in their careers. In retrospect, the Steiners also peaked prior to their WWF run. If a guy could be shoehorned into Vince's formula, he would do ok, but that was never going to work with guys like Luger, Flair or the Steiners who Vince was determined to use in ways that did not play to their strengths as performers.

It would have made more sense than Luger. At least Steiner had been portrayed throughout '93 as a wholesome product of the collegiate system rather than a narcissist heel who showed no hint of ever giving a damn about America.

To this day I still think Crush should have been the one to slam Yoko.

To this day I still think Crush should have been the one to slam Yoko. Me too simply because it would have made more sense and given Crush that rub he needed to get to the next level. Luger wouldn't have needed the rub if they had let him continue in the Narcissist character.

If I had to call it anything, it's "Ric's brother". I mean, he was GREAT in the ring at that point, but there wasn't a character there. Yeah, he was bland as hell back then. You know, that has always kind of been something that's stuck with me. What was Scotty like back before he became the Big Bad Booty Daddy? Because if there's ever been a guy who seems like he's living the gimmick because he is like that, it's Scott. Was he always like he is now, but his on-screen personality never really showed that, or did he become like he is through the years?

Probably would've loudly asked for/demanded a Mr. Fuji blowjob at some point.

I always wonder what Canadians and people from other countries thought about this angle. They must of cared as much about this angle as I do when another country wins the world cup and shows their national pride.
