Ben had to self-report his concussion symptoms. Second week in a row someone screwed up Lol the NFL is half assing so hard that the players are self reporting now? I'll love it when the NFL gets taken down a notch. It's still amazing to me at how quickly they moved past the guy from the Chiefs killing his gf and then committing suicide at the practice facility a few years ago.

Oh and it seems that WWE's Wellness Doctor, Joseph Maroon, not Dr. Z-Pack, is part of the focus of the Concussion movie and it isn't pretty. There is a scene that was cut where he and the other guy the NFL hired to look into the concussion issue call Goodell in the middle of the night because a retired player that they feared had CTE killed himself via gunshot to the chest and that made his brain a perfect one to be studied. EDIT: Here is the post from reddit where I first saw it:

EDIT: Here is the post from reddit where I first saw it: Roger Goodell's speech to CBS, ESPN, and Fox. "Bury this f***ing movie. Bury this movie with a shovel, and then bury the shovel. You know what, that's not enough. After you're doing burying it, salt the ground and start a fire. Scorch this movie. Whatever is going against the movie, you hype the shit out of that movie."

I missed the conversation about Romo's collarbone in the last thread, but I wanted to throw my personal experience in here. I think it was Ryck, I could be wrong, that mentioned they thought Romo came back too early with only 8 weeks healing time. I broke my collarbone in two places in middle school and it healed in 12 weeks without surgery. I imagine they did some kind of operation to help Romo's return come around faster.

I remember two years ago when Rodgers broke his collarbone at the start of November and was able to play like six weeks later, although he didn't really heal up until the off season.

I don't think Romo had anything done, just time off. I guess it wasn't so much was he healed but was he NFL healed if that makes sense. I'm sure he could be ready to get back to normal life but to be good enough to be tackled, sacked and dropped by 300lbs guys several times a game, just seemed early.

And googling it, it looks like he didn't have any type of surgery or procedure. So, yeah, 8 weeks is pushing the low end of being healed.

I say this as someone in rehab. Bone healing takes time. You can pin things with surgery and stick rods in it, but it takes time for bone to grow to be as hard as it was pre-surgery. No matter what they did, you can't really speed up the process. It's one of those things where he rushed back because he was needed and just hoped for the best.

Given that this is his second break in the last few years, maybe his clavicle is sort of fragile to begin with.

This was a big week for Injuries
Romo, Graham, Ben, Gronk possibly
Not only is this a season of disarray for over half the league, but the teams that are stable are starting to sustain injuries and break down
This is as unpredictable a year as it gets... it's awesome, but I hate to see so many star players get taken out like this

Gronk, Romo, LeVeon, Justin Forsett, Dez- arguably 5 of top 15 offensive players last year already hurt. The injury bug has struck mightily.
This is the year of the football injury- not just pro, but college too (Chubb, Boykin, Doctson, Baylor's top 2 QB's.
We wanted to see teams like the Steelers, Ravens, and Patriots at full strength. Or TCU vs. Baylor on Black Friday at full strength.
Football is its best when it's best vs. best at full strength. And way too many times this year, we haven't gotten it.

Gronk has a Bruised Knee and is considered Week to Week. I expect he'll at least sit out the Eagles Game (Where he probably wont be needed with how the Eagles Defense has looked the last two games)
All in all though, HUGE crisis averted for any Patriots Fans.

Dolphins fired OC Bill Lazor.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Peyton Manning (foot) isn't expected back "anytime soon."

Brock Osweiler showed his ruthless agression. Peyton is done in Denver, and likely in the NFL.

In the most shocking news ever, Colts apparently have placed Ahmad Bradshaw on the IR.
