"This generation has seen a number of big-budget games go multiplayer-only. This isn't a problem in theory, but the practice has left more than a little to be desired.
With Titanfall, Evolve, Star Wars Battlefront and Rainbow Six Siege all dumping campaigns, The Jimquisition looks at why this is a problem, and why it shouldn't be."

My issue with multiplayer-only games is relatively speaking they are light on actual content, even if said content is fun as hell.
And I don't even mean the obvious "lack a campaign" lack of content, I mean the multiplayer content is often less than that in games with heavy focus on multiplayer that still manage to give us campaigns as well. Like they have fewer maps and modes at launch than say Call of Duty or Battlefield or Halo. And yet they have the balls to ask for the same price as those games? No dice.

My problem with multiplayer only games is that once the servers are gone the game is unplayable and you're left with either a coaster(as was the case with MAG) or a waste of hard drive space unless that game is lucky enough to include bots.

My issue with multiplayer-only games is the multiplayer part. I genuinely can't recall the last time I played multiplayer online, much less enjoyed the experience. It's a shame, because I would've played the f*** out of a Battlefront campaign.

Bots should be mandatory in instances like this. Bots AND split screen. Both is hugely preferable to just one or the other, but I'd at least accept just the one to not turn it into uselessness without servers.

This episode is here just for the #f***KONAMI News segment at the end, let's face it. Jim doesn't need any pretence to do a #f***onami video, it's just an added bonus.
