Anyone else a bit sad that it seems like they're building Swagger up just to feed him to a US champ again?
Alternately, Del Rio dropping Zeb might be opening things for the Real Americans to return.

Swagger should win the U.S. Title.
It's obvious that WWE doesn't want Del Rio to be a midcarder, so there's no reason for him to have the belt.

I do love Jack Swagger, so that would make me super happy if he won the Title.
I'd also find it kind of hilarious if it was Jack freaking Swagger that dethroned the Cena Vanquisher. Lol

I do like that Stardust and Swagger could have easily half-assed that match, it wouldn't have mattered, but they had a good match regardless. I know Cody's not the biggest dude, but Swagger looked like he was effortlessly flinging him around. It kinda made me miss his tag team with Cesaro.
That said, I could see Zeb helping Del Rio win, given between Del Rio and Swagger, Swagger wasn't the one hitting the guy.

I'm still hung up on how Swagger should've beaten Rusev at SummerSlam last year. It would've barely affected a bit of their Rusev plans given they really didn't play up him being undefeated that much, would've made the return to the feud this time last year make a lot more sense, and Swagger would be in a much better place right now.

Yeah, they had two fantastic points where Swagger going over Rusev would have given him all the momentum in the world and Rusev would have kept on truckin'. That's what makes me so gunshy here. If they wouldn't pull the trigger when he was getting all that crazy support would they do it now? When someone can be built up like that only to be knocked down and then built up again a few months later, you've got a keeper. Use him.

To be fair, Rusev was a more over act than Del Rio currently is. I guess they might keep the US title on Del Rio for Cena to try to come back and get his rematch, but I could see him coming back and mocking him for failing to keep it that long.

Swagger always seems over but for some reason WWE have little interest in pushing him again.

I imagine a lot of that is the weed bust, but if he's stayed out of trouble since then, I do wish they'd cut him some slack. I also wonder if they on any level are uncomfortable with the implications of his being quite over.
