Paul Heyman: For that low, sweet, price, you can partake in the Rumble and watch Brock take out 29 other men! Is there a better deal to watch such a beating?

Remember the year there were 40 guys and there was so much filler?
Remember the year Booker T, JBL, Cole and Lawler were all joke entrants?
Remember the year Sheamus won?
The answer to all three, is neither do I.

Let's hope all the scrubs are not in the Rumble match: Adam Rose, The Ascension, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Fandango, Heath Slater, Los Matadores, and Zack Ryder.
Let's also hope spots aren't wasted on The Big Show and Kane.
Not counting any of the injured guys, Roman Reigns, or John Cena, that leaves a pretty good lineup of 30 guys for the Rumble. It also comes out to exactly 15 faces and 15 heels:
1. Alberto Del Rio 2. Big E 3. Braun Strowman 4. Bray Wyatt 5. Bubba Ray Dudley 6. Dean Ambrose 7. Dolph Ziggler 8. D-Von Dudley 9. Erick Rowan 10. Goldust 11. Jack Swagger 12. Jey Uso 13. Jimmy Uso 14. Kalisto 15. Kevin Owens 16. King Barrett 17. Kofi Kingston 18. Luke Harper 19. Mark Henry 20. The Miz 21. Neville 22. R-Truth 23. Rusev 24. Ryback 25. Sheamus 26. Sin Cara 27. Stardust 28. Titus O’Neil 29. Tyler Breeze 30. Xavier Woods
Now that leaves no room for surprise entrants (Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn...or am I reaching on those?), but at least we have a quality core of 30 potential entrants. I could also see Bray Wyatt and Xavier Woods swapped out for two surprise entrants.

Even if you're advocating for any of those four guys, are those really the four you'd take out? The Usos have to go but you have no qualms with Braun Strowman or R-Truth?

Vince won't like that.

I wouldn't take out Miz, since he likely won't have a match in the undercard, but assuming that Del Rio isstill be US Champ and The Usos challenge New Day for the tag belts or wrestle the League of Nations, I wouldn't have them in the Rumble. I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid using "the scrubs" unless WWE planned to have them wrestle in some kind of match on the pre-show. If people are going to be left out of the Rumble, I honestly believe that they should actually lose the opportunity to be in the Rumble through some kind of qualifying matches or something rather than simply because they're "too low in the pecking order".

Speaking of people coming back, our first entrant for the Rumble, looking to repeat his Golden Snowcone-winning performance of 2015...

So this year, Kalisto gets the Kofi spot right? Push that feud and jealousy a bit longer?

I actually like Big Show being #1. Yeah, it ain't gonna happen, but there's the prospect of him just KO punching every new entrant one after the other and throwing them out. If he's able to keep people in the ring to minimum, who's going to throw him out? The only people that can eliminate him single handedly are Brock, Cena, Cesaro, Kane, Strowman, Ryback, Mark Henry, and Big Cass. And possibly Russev and Bad News Barrett (I think he gave Show the Wssteland, before.). Maybe Roman and Sheamus could, but they won't be in it. Like I said, it ain't gonna happen, but it is interesting to think about.

BTW, this has gotta be the first time in about 9 years that they used a new logo for the Royal Rumble.

Spoiler'd for semi-corroborated speculation as to the winner. {Spoiler}If, as has been speculated, Hunter wins the rumble, does the crowd then cheer as to maintain the streak of undesired reactions to rumble winners?

Curtis Axel must come back to defend his record. Believe it or not, he's officially the next man confirmed for the match, according to WWE.com.

Pretty obvious that Axel is getting eliminated the second he steps through the ropes.... Yep it's a comedy spot -\_0_/-
