Roman Reigns wins the title to a big pop in Philadelphia on Raw I'm not sure what about that sentence is the most shocking part Philly. If I'm not mistaken, the same place that held this year's Rumble. Holy crap, is that true? LOL, heck of a pleasant bookend for Roman if so.

Help me understand ... you want him booked to look weak? Bryan was much more superman booked than RR has been ... go back and look and see how he didn't lose clean for like 14 months, or maybe lost once clean in more than a year leading up to and coming out of WM30. He got the "ultimate underdog overcomes the odds" booking to the point that he beat three future Hall of Famers in one night to win the title. It's not that. It's just that this whole push has been mishandled for an entire year that I just don't care anymore. Less than one year ago, this forum was overrun with posts about how he wasn't ready. Too soon. Etc. Now, less than a year later, they've ruined his push for a year. That doesn't quite add up to me.

Nice to see things happen, and an air of excitement on Raw. Good show, now they just have to keep it up.

How the hell? We had a major push for him and we all hate it, but they managed to rescue him IN TWO NIGHTS to the point f***ing PHILLY is cheering him I think at least some of it was they weren't convinced he was going to actually win the belt until WrestleMania.

Well guys, we're only too happy to trash WWE when they get things wrong so I think it's only fair to give credit when it's due.
I thought it was an excellent Raw. The best of 2015 by far. I usually don't get to watch Raw or the PPVs live as I'm in England but my Christmas break from work started this week so I watched TLC (hesitantly) and Raw and I'm glad I did! I thought TLC was pretty good. Not great but one of the better PPVs of the year. I didn't like the main event but the ending was pretty cool. It made me want to stay up to watch Raw tonight and that was kinda the theme for me. They booked it so I wanted to keep watching! Announcing Vince would be on at the beginning made me want to see him and then halfway through booking an interesting and not so obvious main event kept me from falling asleep on my sofa. It was actually exciting!
Mega heel Stephanie, Vince returning, Cole's mic cutting off for 30 seconds and him looking majorly pissed off, the Extreme Rules match and a really exciting main event made it a very good Raw.
Props to WWE for putting on a great show. I feel like the part of me that still watches religiously justified doing so to the part of me that questions why I do when it's often so boring!

This was a quality episode. Raw is so much better when things are actually at stake and when the majority of matches serve a purpose and have importance.
Raw is at it's worst when everything is just going through the motions and where they give us a meaningless, by-the-numbers tag match to main event the show where winners and losers don't matter.
I remember when they had the title tournament last month it sprang a row of good episodes because for the most part, most matches had something at stake and served a purporse so they were worth watching. It's a formula that works, make the main event and supporting matches mean something.
Whether it's #1 contender matches, winner picks the stipulation, loser doesn't get a title shot or hell even just a grudge match like the Hardcore match from tonight.

I'll end my posting this evening by saying that tonight was a fun night, perhaps more so than TLC for me. Amazing what a show with effort in it can do, huh? And we finish this week of wacky with NXT Takeover: London, and for the first time ever, I seriously wonder how they can top tonight. Somehow I don't think a certain other Samoan winning a title will generate this level of energy, but we'll see. So from your favorite fashion horse worshipper, good fight, good night.

I think... I think I'm just gonna stop watching for a month or so. Read results, come back at the Rumble, and take things from there. Not like anything important goes on over the holidays. That's exactly what I'm gonna do as well.

Friendly reminder that Sheamus won the WWE Title at Survivor Series. Between that show and tonight, he gained a stable but never once ended an episode of TV with the upper hand on Reigns. How about that Raw when the League of Nations formed and ended with them and New Day standing over Reigns and friends?
