What I liked about Karate Fighters was that if you removed all the screws and dropped something heavy on them they would literally shatter. This was so amusing to me and I did it a lot in my youth.

I've been enjoying the Karate Fighters tournament on Bryan and Vinny the last few weeks, especially that promo contest.
I never had them. I remember asking for them a couple of times for birthdays/Christmas, and I ended up getting some Jurassic Park spinoff ones where it was two raptors fighting it out. I remember we kept one of the raptors as an action figure/wrestler (we had a pretty f'd up toy wrestling federation) for YEARS after the stands for the game got busted up.

I never played with these but my aunt had something pretty close expect it was Batman and Superman. that was pretty fun but if you had Superman you were at a disadvantage. He had a really square jaw and it would hit and knock down a lot easier than Batman's.

I remember the WWF Karate Fighters tournament and Jerry Lawler got disqualified because he taped "Skull crusher"(think that was his name) to the thing so he wouldn't fly off. He said he had an ingrown toenail. I don't remember who ended up winning.
I had the first four that came out. They were a pretty cool toy. There were lots of martial art fighter things around that time.
