Two matches and two wins for Metallica!
UP NEXT
Iron Maiden "El Dorado" (Won Best Metal Performance at the 53rd Grammy Awards Ceremony)
vs.
Jethro Tull "Steel Monkey" (Tull won Best Hard Rock/Metal Perfomance Vocal or Instrumental at the 31st Grammy Awards for the entirety of their Crest of a Knave album; I've chosen that albums' opening track "Steel Monkey" to represent it here)

Yeah, Maiden. Had Tull not won the first Metal Grammy over Metallica, the voters probably wouldn't have felt the need to make it up to them the following year and maybe Faith No More could've won it for The Real Thing! DAMMIT!

Today at least, Iron has proven stronger than Steel! We now go from the first controversial Metal Grammy winner to the most recent...
UP NEXT
Tenacious D "The Last In Line" (This Dio cover won Best Metal performance just this past February at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards)
vs.
Slayer "Final Six" (Won Best Metal Performance at the 50th Grammy Ceremony for this bonus track off of the special edition re-release of their Christ Illusion album)

Slayer since Tenacious D beat a lot of better songs. I know a lot of metal fans were incensed about that.

If this was the original Dio song, it'd win for me in a landslide. Since its not, I'm going Slayer.

Slayer sacrifices Tenacious D to move on. Now, we kick off 2016 with Trent Reznor's shot at revenge...
UP NEXT
Nine Inch Nails "Happiness in Slavery" (The version of this song recorded live and released on the Woodstock '94 compilation received the Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 38th Annual ceremony)
vs.
Metallica "St. Anger" (Won Best Metal Performance at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards)

I am also voting NIN. I'm not a real big St. Anger fan, and Metallica already has 2 songs moving on to the next round (and a chance for 3...kinda 4 more).
