Question: Did I ever say let's start handing out arrest warrants? Answer: No, I never did. Never also used the word gestapo, I went more mafia as it seemed like intimidation, what with the one PI lying about being a cop while both PIs are in BLACK overcoats and jeans. Whatever way you want to put it, this was sleazy as hell. And why would the investigation have more legs, you ask? Because this adds plenty of smoke, more than enough smoke to think maybe there is a bit of a fire. There is a reason Peyton has refused to sue, because then he would have to explain what was in the package that was sent in his wife's name to his Florida home. If there was no fire, as soon as Peyton gets the call about someone said he took HGH, he should have threatened to sue Al Jazeera of they release the story. Case closed. And as far as calling people out, I merely think it is interesting because when Deflategate came out, Patriots fans here immediately came out to respond to this. Denver and Manning fans (more so, Manning fans), they don't come out and respond to this immediately as it takes more than 24 hours for them here to respond...which with you being the only one, is still interesting. When referring to warrants, if you see I said on the page about them being referenced, not you specifically. Why should he threaten to sue anyone as no one in the media nor Al Jazeera has accused him of taking HGH yet have they. They have specifically said they aren't accusing him of taking it so how can he sue. Concerning why no one responded, hell I don't know? Better things to do? Really only 2 really active Broncos posters around counting myself. Honestly like I said I wasn't even gonna respond until you said something, cause to me this whole story about the PI's is a non story to me after I read the article. Me, I was at a gathering last night, and getting ready to head to one now. To add, I know I've said this before but I'm no great Manning fan. Called him nothing more than a hired gun on multiple occasions and I still think the wrong QB is in the game today. That being said, reason most aren't responding to this thread other than a few...most just don't give a shit. A PI in a black overcoat and jeans saying he is a cop, but not producing a badge (as he isn't a cop).....is very illegal and is an issue. Also, this does seem like intimidation, which if you are a multi-million dollar athlete like Peyton Manning with a huge likeability image who is dealing with this supposed non-issue of a story, you don't send PIs in that gear to anyone's parents and if they did this crap on their own, you definitely disassociate yourself from them as quickly as possible because you are smart enough to know how this looks. Now, maybe he couldn't sue, but he could have gotten on top of this immediately and explained what was in the box that was sent to his house, and if that wasn't true. But if he even didn't get a box from the Indianapolis anti-aging place under his wife's name, oh....he can freaking sue.

That's what it is. Peyton Manning knows how to play the media and he and his daddy play them like a f***ing fiddle. They leak them information, smile and give them all the interviews they could ever ask for, and in exchange they bury the more despicable or salacious things he's ever been involved in. If the alleged rape at Florida State is going to follow Jameis Winston for the rest of his career, if Lake Tahoe and Milledgeville is going to follow Ben Roethlisberger for eternity, how is it that allegedly sexually harassing a trainer has somehow been wiped from Peyton Manning's resume? And not only did he allegedly sexually harass a trainer, in his daddy's autobiography, he ups the ante by playing the "women should know their place" card. Peyton Manning is an arrogant, selfish prima donna who has had everything in his life handed to him on a silver platter because of his last name and any time something doesn't go his way, he goes out of his way to destroy that person, regardless of whether they are in the right. As I said a few days ago, it's becoming quite apparent that he's football's Lance Armstrong. Gregarious, easy-going, aw-shucks in front of the camera but cutthroat, ruthless, and vindictive behind the scenes. But because he and his daddy have the national media in their pockets, nobody's going to say a thing.

I am a Denver fan and this is why I block and ignore people. Since we're being called out, I'll be more honest, I don't give a flying f***. There has been zero pinned on Peyton Manning, even less pinned on the Denver Broncos but certain Panther fans have taken it upon themselves to write the team and fans as pieces of crap while stockpiling excuses should their team lose. Until someone can provide legitimate evidence that Peyton Manning ordered the HGH, ordered the PIs that acted stupid or whatever else bullshit comes with the story, I don't care. Win or lose you have helped kill this Super Bowl run for me.
Damn, Pats fans, I am sorry you went through this. It sucks.

But if he even didn't get a box from the Indianapolis anti-aging place under his wife's name, oh....he can freaking sue. You want to keep discussing the PI thing go ahead. Cops were involved and there was no issue. Lawyer was involved in the interview again no issue. That's on the PI and again this all happened before the story even leaked. Concerning PI's, that's how they are. Ever dealt with them before. I have. Just like legit detectives (as a large percentage of them are ex detectives), they do what they gotta do. Are you implying that Peyton specifically told the PI's to dress like cops in BLACK overcoats and jeans and go intimidate the Sly's? I don't get it, and honestly your talking to yourself on this part of the subject anymore unless you can give me something specific to Manning on it instead of PI's being PI's. Concerning what's in the box. We know it was HGH. Not once has this even been denied this nor has he even denied that she had meds shipped from that clinic. He's actually confirmed that. Why did she have it...nobody's damn business. If she has a legitimate issue to take it...again nobody's damn business. If they can prove it was for him that's one thing. What you are saying is to drag out his wives medical history and possible medical conditions just for a news story?

Patriots fans are still dealing with the fallout from last year from basically 31 other fanbases and the league as a whole. Just be happy that win or lose, it ends today for you and fellow Broncos fans*. That crap from last off-season is still going on with the Patriots and will continue through this spring and summer. * - As an aside, I really have no problem with the Denver Broncos fans or players, outside of Von Miller and Peyton Manning. Hell, up until they met the Patriots in the AFC Divisional Round, the Tim Tebow-led Broncos of 2011-12 were probably my second-favorite team in the NFL that season. To be frank, if Brock Osweiler were still starting for Denver, I might be rooting for the Broncos this evening. But I cannot and will not support a team led by Manning for all the reasons I've listed in my earlier post. As soon as Denver cuts ties with Manning this off-season, the Broncos will go from one of my least favorite teams to just another team in the league.

Never called your team out, only wanted your opinions on this. My problems are with certain players on the team, not with the fans because most Denver fans on here are actually some of the nicest fans I have dealt with. And as far as killing this Super Bowl run for you, I'm going to have Michael Clarke Duncan from Talladega Nights say that needs to be said.

Yes, I do need to apologize and explain myself a bit better. It isn't on any one poster or just this board, it is social media, it is radio, it news reports and everything that comes with the Super Bowl hype, just turned extremely negative for this team when there is so much fun that could had with it all. I spend more time here than at any other site I participate at so I let it out more than I should. I mentioned in another thread almost a week ago I was getting sick of the hype and this story has just drained it from me over the last week. For all of that, I apologize.

To be fair, I never said (Nor will I ever say) that Denver fans are crap. Just Denver's QB.
Just want to clear that up.

Ric did apologize and he just meant the media and fans in general, not us.
Yeah, despite Denver being one of those teams that is normally always in the playoffs, their fans are rather humble people for the most part. But then again, having lost your first four Super Bowls by a lot does put things in perspective. In fact almost every team (other than Patriots) that have seen their team lose 4 Super Bowls tend to have fans who are mostly humble.

You know, and I spoke to Seth about this Friday night, but I still hold to the belief that if Manning wins tonight, this story could die a quick death and nobody will give a shit because, as time has shown again and again, winning cures all of your ills. But if Manning falls flat on his face in what might be his last game, cementing his legacy as "the greatest regular season quarterback of all-time, but couldn't really win the big one", this may become a bigger headache than what he wants.
Especially with all of the strongarming. I mean, I'm a Colts fan, and to me, if what the Washington Post said was true, then Manning clearly did something, because sometimes the cover-up can be worse than the truth. After all; Manning didn't even get to play in the 2011 season, so that treatment did jack squat for him. Yet because we live in a country where we want our players to be as pure as the undriven snow and anybody who confesses to using anything, even if it's just to get into any state of playing condition, is a cardinal sin, he prefers to go this way because of how people who clearly used drugs (though, realistically, most of them, like Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, and Alex Rodriguez tend to be assholes in real life) are dragged through the mud and he doesn't want his icon and market value to get that treatment.

If Manning wins tonight, can we all agree the NFL is probably rigged?

Don't like either but throw a football without the amount of regulatory air in it you're public enemy number 1, use drugs to gain an advantage while still managing to suck and you're the greatest player that ever lived. OK

OK Yeah, that is a bit hypocritical...but that's life in the NFL. If owners love you, you can never do anything wrong. If owners hate you, you cant do anything right.

I don't like Shaun King for a whole host of reasons, but I have to give credit where credit's due - this is a phenomenally reported, very well-writen piece on Peyton Manning and the lengths that he and his cronies went to in order to destroy the reputation of a respected trainer, a trainer that Manning allegedly sexually assaulted in college. www.nydailynews.com/news/national/king-peyton-manning-squeaky-clean-image-built-lies-article-1.2530395This is the first time a prominent national media outlet has picked up this story and provided it with such extensive coverage and it's only gaining legs on social media.
